My daughter has this fireplace that no longer works bc of chimney issues and they wanted to get rid of these vent holes without loosing the brick character…I love how it turned out, and so do they🙌 This amazing hand tufted wool rug from @heidicaillierdesign and @joonloloi fits perfectly in here 😍

I love Terra cotta…this is great Terra cotta color spray paint! …watch out, nothing is safe😍 I added some decorative glaze to the swan on top of the paint, but the pot, I used only paint. Love!!!!

What I used to clean my rug…
I mixed a little soap in the bucket with water, dumped on the rug, scrubbed a little, rinsed, and used a large handled squeegee to squeegee it out…I repeat the process as many times as needed to get the soap out. I also rinsed the back of the rug. Just remember…The larger of the rug, the heavier it will be when it gets wet… I tried to stick with the smaller sizes.

Any door can look like this! It’s painted to look like wood…
3 weeks later…my front door is done and I love it! I went back and forth between, “I’m gonna burn this door to the ground” to, “wow, I can’t believe how good it’s looking” for 3 weeks…now, don’t touch the door or look at the door bc I’m not sure what I’m capable of if it gets a scratch on it after all that. Here’s the process if you skip where I messed up, in the beginning:
1. Sand the door with 220 grit sandpaper and wipe down, for prep
2. Paint with any darker tan color matte paint and make sure to go with the grain of the wood bc any strokes from the paint brush are most likely going to be seen when the glaze is added…but it’s good to have that texture for the wood look (I used Benjamin Moore “Acorn”) …I did two coats
3. After the paint is fully dry…Brush on the gel stain, working in sections and going with the wood grain…on this step, you’re basically painting what you want the door to look like in the end…allow to dry for 24 hours…I only did one coat of the gel stain but you can do 2 if you desire more coverage or a darker look
4. Seal with a poly (I used oil based outdoor polyurethane)…it’s important to have a good quality brush for this step or you will get streaks…I let my first coat dry for 24 hours before applying the second coat and I lightly sanded in between coats with 330 grit sandpaper
I took my hardware off and put it back on about 5x through the process (literally) bc I wanted it to be seamless in that area when working, instead of leaving stop and go marks from working around hardware…it was worth taking it off
That’s it! 3 weeks later, you can have a new front door too…well, hopefully less than 3 weeks for you 😁

My fave dryer/diffuser and Curl cream that I use to keep my hair curly…also, I will be trying this other sea salt texture spray that I linked, since the one that I normally use is discontinued.

Chocolate Protein Waffle
4 eggs
1 tablespoon cocoa powder
1 scoop of linked one ingredient unflavored grass fed beef protein powder (they have flavors too)
Stevia drops to taste
Blend/beat until mixed and creamy, pour in waffle maker, and cook to allotted time of waffle maker
Add toppings of choice

Warm up those battery operated lights with a little orange spray paint…comment “bulbs” for the bulbs and a spray paint I found that should work great…no electric needed 👍

No electric needed, remote control, lightbulbs🙌 I’ve been wanting to turn this old demijohn into a lamp for a while and instead of drilling a hole in it, or having a cord showing out the top back, these lightbulbs are a win!
