One bra top, two easy fall outfits 🍂🤎

I’m styling this @ogl_move bra top two ways—with dark wide-leg denim from my own closet and OGL’s black wide-leg trousers for a slightly dressier look.

I love a piece that works with what I already own. Simple, easy to mix and match, and perfect for those “what do I wear?” mornings.

The magnolia blossoms are blooming outside my living room window and there’s flour on my sweater again. The better afternoons look like this. Sourdough rising on the counter, seedlings on the windowsill, coffee going cold because I got distracted with the kids..

As the years pass the desire for a more analog life grows..

The garden grows bigger, the bread gets better, and somewhere along the way I stopped buying what I could make. Butter mom era, giving my kids the 90s childhood I had - learning to grow a backyard kitchen garden, making jams and baking… I don’t think I’m coming back.

Follow along if this feels like your kind of life.

I’m not a fully from-scratch mom but I am a moving-toward-it mom 🙂

This year, sourdough was the first thing to come off the grocery list. The herb planter on the deck by the kitchen back door took care of the herb aisle in years prior. Then the tomatoes came in faster than we could eat them and pasta sauce and pico de gallo stopped showing up in my cart.

You don’t have to do all of it, You just have to start with one small thing

What did you or are you hoping to stop buying first?

A last minute gift guide for the mother who notices the light before anyone else is awake. Quiet luxury pieces for Mother’s Day, gathered the way you’d gather flowers from the garden. My home art studio is almost ready, and with all the nice weather we've been having the first thing I wanted to do before moving in was set up out the patio space right outside the door. Found everything I needed for outdoor relaxing and dining at Walmart Canada and I honestly could not be more obsessed with how it came together. This is my new little creative escape. Spring fresh start, right outside my studio door. 🌿
Walmart Canada has everything you need to refresh your outdoor space this season- I especially love this scalloped serving tray, and outdoor dining set from their spring collection! @walmartcanada #walmartcanada #outdoorliving #patioideas

Made a spring reading list, in that quiet optimistic week when you forget what the season ahead really looks like with school aged kids in the house😅

The Rites of the Starling just came out and I finally had some time to fly through the first few chapters. Great storytelling. If you haven’t read the first book in the series, A Shield of Sparrows, it’s the perfect intro to fantasy/romantacy genre.

The Nightingale has been on my list for ages- historical fiction, I keep hearing it wrecks you, which sounds like a perfect read for those moody rainy spring days.

I’m almost through A Court of Wings and Ruin and need to finish the whole series before book six drops in October, so no pressure there. 🧚‍♂️

Blood & Roses by Callie Hart this was a total impulse buy on the ferry and really have no idea what I’m getting into but have heard great things about her writing💛

And Our Perfect Storm by Carley Fortune, out May 5th, which might be the only book on this list I actually finish quickly because it’s Carley Fortune and Tofino, and I just know I’m going to love it.

Yesterday I sat by the window with a coffee that stayed hot the whole time. Fifteen minutes. It was so good …..I’m a little afraid it won’t happen again for a while.

What’s on your spring TBR list? I need more to add to mine so I can feel even more behind 😂😂

I didn’t realize how much we needed this!
Between dishes, school drop-offs, work deadlines, and the everyday noise, we forgot what it feels like to fully exhale as a family.

Our stay at Villa La Valencia Resort in Los Cabos gave us exactly what we needed-
Space for us to enjoy eachother without the mental load of the daily to do list, and for the kids to just be kids without a schedule.

If you’re looking for a luxury family resort in Cabo or researching the best beachfront resorts in Cabo San Lucas, this one felt calm, elevated, and genuinely family-friendly.

Save this for your next Cabo vacation. 🌊✨

Sourdough Era- Part 2

After my first loaf, I honestly thought about quitting my bread journey.
Learning sourdough as a beginner to bread, but not baking, has been humbling. There’s so much about sourdough starter timing, bulk fermentation, stretch and folds, and patience that no one really talks about.
I’m realizing it’s less about baking perfect bread…and more about learning the art of patience, and trying again.

Turns out, patience is part of the recipe. 🤍

Part 3 coming soon.

A kid-approved, make-ahead school breakfast that actually gets eaten. 🙌

My kids kept asking for store-bought muffins, so I started making these once a week instead, as I wanted something more substantial and with more nutrients. These disappear every time.

Soft, cozy, freezer-friendly, and perfect for busy school mornings.

🍪Mom Swap Chocolate Chip Breakfast Muffins (healthier, gluten-free and Kid-Approved)

Ingredients

Dry
2 cups oat flour
1 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
½ tsp cinnamon
¼ tsp salt

Wet
2 ripe bananas, mashed (or ½ cup applesauce)
⅓ cup maple syrup
¼ cup melted coconut oil or avocado oil
2 eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
¼ cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
Mix-ins
½ cup chocolate chips

👩‍🍳 Instructions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a muffin tin.
In a large bowl, whisk dry ingredients.

In another bowl, mix wet ingredients until smooth.
Pour wet into dry and gently stir until just combined.
Fold in chocolate chips.
Scoop into muffin liners (¾ full).
Bake 18–22 minutes until tops are set and a toothpick comes out clean.
Cool 10 minutes (they get even better as they set).

These have made our school mornings easier. The problem is that my kids want to eat them before school week starts, so I have to freeze them fast.🤣

Don’t forget to burp your house.
Opening the doors.
Letting fresh air move through.
It helps clear out stale air, lingering smells, and that heavy “closed-up” feeling.

It boosts airflow, can help with moisture. It just makes the whole house feel lighter.

I do it regularly as part of my house reset.

Letting the house breathe again.

In the winter our homes can feel stuffy, tense, or tired- if you’re not already doing this in your reset routine, give this a try.

I pour into myself so that I can pour into them 💛

self-care for moms isn’t selfish, it’s essential. When I take time to workout, nourish my body effectively, or have time to myself, I show up calmer, more patient, and more present for my kids.

Motherhood asks so much of us. And the truth is: you can’t give from an empty cup. Prioritizing mental health, rest, and small daily rituals isn’t about perfection it’s about sustainability

Episode 2 of my Cozy Reset 🤍

This week reminded me that consistency doesn’t come from doing everything “right.”
It comes from letting go of what isn’t working and keeping what feels supportive.
Movement stayed.
Self-care stayed.
Tried a few new books that weren’t for me- and that’s okay. I am a big mood reader. 🤷‍♀️

If you’re resetting with me, and things didn’t go 100% as planned, you’re not behind. Success = consistency not perfection 🫶✨
