I Have 2 Answers:

#1. Boring Answer (the foundation):

1. Sleep. 
The true foundation of it all. If your sleep is not right, nothing else will work properly. Perfect your sleep *first*

2. *Heavy* Weight Lifting.
Lift w strategy, good form, heavy as you can, and with *consistency*

3. Nutrition.
Be intentional about protein intake. You need whatever your ideal body weight is in grams of protein every day. My protein goal each day is 125g. It still feels like a lot if I don’t have a plan for the day. Make sure to eat your fiber too!

#2. Interesting Answer (supplemental):

1. Cold Plunging.
Burns brown fat, increases metabolism and energy, helps you sleep better
2. Sauna.
Strengthens your body’s immune response
3. Peptides.
Find a provider who sources their peptides from a legitimate pharmacy. Peptides are just chains of less than 40ish amino acids (over 40 is called a protein). Amino Acids are the building blocks of our bodies. Our bodies make thousands of endogenous peptides already. They are game changers.
4. Supplements.
@perfectamino make capsules to ensure I get all my amino acids when consuming protein
5. Setting Circadian Rhythm.
Morning sunlight in the eyes first thing after waking each day will change how you sleep and how you live

Cold Plunging changed my life!

Cold Plunging *drastically* increases baseline dopamine levels more than anything else! More than chocolate, sex, caffeine, cocaine, or adderall. The dopamine increase also lasts much longer than anything I listed as well.

If you want to be happier, try cold plunging. My cold plunge gives every benefit that others do at a fraction of the cost. We bought one from @icepodcompany to make sure we would use it and we love it. You don’t need to spend $6K to start this habit.

Tips:
-Cold plunge in the morning to increase your core body temp and help you wake up/set your circadian rhythm
-Best after a long walk and *before* you lift
-3 mins a day and minimum 11 mins a week gives you all the benefits needed
-you don’t need to go colder than 48 degrees. You’ll get all the benefits there

Montana Pt. 2!
.
-We ventured out of Big Sky and into Wyoming for the day to explore @yellowstonenps ! 
We saw the most predictable geyser in Yellowstone, Old Faithful, that shoots up to 8,400 gallons of 200 degree water 180 ft in the air every 90ish minutes.
We saw an Elk herd and a Black Bear looking for lunch among a bunch of other wild animals in the park
-We also dipped into Idaho on our way back to Big Sky to explore Henry Lake and check another state off of our list
-We hung out some more around our cabin and went hiking, yet again. We will never get enough. I am still remembering all the views 😍
-We headed back home and had multiple hour long delays but our traveling kids rocked it (with help from the airplane TVs that ended up being the true MVPs) before rolling into The Woodlands around 2am 😂… WORTH. IT.

5 things we did to make this road trip from Houston to Breckenridge and back better and easier:

1. *Most important*: Set expectations, for the kids AND for you. When I have an expectation talk with my kids before (ie: this travel day is going to be hard. But you can do hard things, I’ve seen you do many hard things in the past! And it will be worth it when we get there)…
and set expectations for yourself. Start and end your day with a thankful heart that you get to do this with your family. Also knowing something will go wrong and mentally be prepared. This changes everything.

2. Beads across the car dashboard to show how far we have come and how far we have left to go (cuts way down on the “Are we there yet?!”s)

3. Many snacks, tiny toys they get to open or pull out every hour, and iPads packed as a backup (for your own nervous system—just knowing they are there helps!)

4. Kids podcasts- we love @brains_on or a Bluey podcast

5. Create a specific playlist for the trip. My favorite songs remind me of the places I was traveling when I listened to them a lot for the first time. I like to do the same for my kids to make the memories even more special. For example, we listen to a lot of @MilkyChance_official and @caamp when we go to Colorado. And listen to @themovementvibe when we got to Florida or the beach

Doing things to influence your body temperature at *proper* times of day will help set your circadian rhythm. A huge benefit of cold plunging

Body temperature plays a *crucial* role (maybe the most crucial!) in sleep quality. 

Later in the day, your body temp slowly starts to decrease, which signals sleepiness. After you plunge, your body temp increases (bc it’s working to raise its core temp). 

Align a cold plunge in the morning w your body’s natural, slow and slight, increase in body temp. Also aids in alertness, increased energy, decreases stress, burns brown fat, boosts your mood, helps w muscle recovery
