i’m 42. and i’ll never tell you something that isn’t true — good skin takes work. here’s exactly what i did

-tretinoin (4x/week — less if my skin gets irritated)
-vitamin c every morning
-niacinamide every morning
-spf (every single day — non-negotiable)
-co2 laser (2x/year)
-microneedling + growth factors (about 4x/year)
-at-home skin stamping (1x/week with a high-quality growth factor)
-sculptra (to build collagen over time)
-red light therapy (most days — i spray a green tea mist first to boost results)
-exfoliation (2x/week — one physical exfoliant, one chemical)
-skin flooding (layers of hydration on damp skin)
-barrier-first skincare (i don’t mess this up anymore)
-hormone balance (I do bioidentical hormone therapy)

42 and spent a decade figuring out how to actually look better as i age. here’s everything that I did 👇
1.the haircut — i had long hair for years and thought it was making me look younger. it was doing the opposite.
2.melasma — if you’re struggling with this, you must try the Obagi Nu-Derm Clear. I can’t link it because you need a script for it. Mix it with your tretinoin! I will link the one that is not a strong and you don’t need a script for, but it will take longer to work. Also keeping the sun off my face is key.
3.lip lift — the lip lift shortened my philtrum and made my face more feminine looking
4.jeans — I could easily throw away all my other jeans and just keep this pair. These jeans have transformed my wardrobe
5.teeth bonding — small chips and uneven edges that i’d lived with forever. fixing them made me actually want to smile in photos.
6.Teeth bleaching — my teeth have never looked so white
7.skincare — the shift for me was focusing on barrier protection first, then layering in microneedling and growth factors. Linked the products I use religiously. Let me know if you want me to mention what lasers and treatments I get.
8.makeup — started focusing more on a classic look rather than a trendy look. All my go-to products are linked.
9.workouts — running kept me small but soft. lifting actually changed my shape in a way cardio never did. i’ve never felt more confident in my body.

$i’ve tried a lot of skincare. Lthis is what i actually stick to: CO2 laser – 2x a year beginning + end of year. this is my full reset. I prefer the fractionated coolpeel microneedling w/ PDGF – 4x a year (at least) keeps my skin smooth, fresh, and glowing in between. I will NEVER not do this red light – 4x a week helps with inflammation + overall skin health. if i use tretinoin, i’ll do red light in the morning so i’m not using them together. tretinoin – ~4 nights a week non-negotiable. keeps everything clear + smooth. if i get irritated, i scale back. I like to use a thick layer of the La roche Posay on the nights I use tretinoin. at 42 and as mom of 4 , i’ve never felt better and this routine is a huge reason why👇🏻

1.skin flooding — apply your toner on damp skin, layer your essence on top while it’s still wet, then seal it all in with your moisturizer. your skin will never feel the same after this. I do this every single morning and night.
2.a shot of olive oil — I take a shot every morning before my coffee. The one I use has a very high polyphenol count. Polyphenols fight free radical damage and it shows up directly in your skin.
3.liposomal vitamin c + glutathione — I take these after my shot of olive oil. Vitamin c builds collagen, glutathione brightens from the inside out. the liposomal form actually gets absorbed unlike regular supplements
4.creatine — I put this into my coffee every day. More energy, less brain fog, better muscle tone. not just for the gym and i’m genuinely annoyed nobody told me about this sooner
5.peptides — i take the glow blend everyday (minus the weekends) which is ghk-cu, bpc-157, and tb-500. collagen production, skin elasticity, inflammation. My skin is glowing, my hair is growing like crazy. The results have been insane.
6.red light therapy — consistent use of this has gotten rid of so much redness in my skin. I use this 4/5x a week
7.barrier skincare — if your barrier is broken nothing else you put on your face will work. these korean ceramide creams are what actually fixed mine. I wish I knew about protecting my skin barrier in my 30s.
