My weekly reset for complicated skin + hair 🛁

I have very fine, straight, oily hair, but it still needs nourishment. I use this biotin shampoo and conditioner about once a week for a deeper cleanse and conditioning treatment that leaves my hair feeling softer, smoother, and refreshed without making it part of my everyday routine.

My skin is equally complicated. Aging, combination, breakout-prone, uneven, and easily congested (all of the fun stuff 🙄) Now, this facial cleansing gel is actually marketed to men but after trying my husband’s, I ordered my own. It gives my skin the deeper cleanse it routinely needs without leaving it feeling dry.

I highly recommend these microfiber cleaning gloves for jobs like wiping out cabinets, drawers, pantry shelves and other hard-to-reach spaces. They grab dust and little bits so much better than a paper towel and I find myself using far fewer single-use paper products. They’re marketed as car wash mitts but trust me!

I also keep a huge stack of these microfiber cloths on hand now because they legit clean better and help me use less paper. Every day, I toss the dirty ones in with the laundry and start fresh.

Just thought I’d share something that’s been making life feel a teensy bit less stressful lately. Maybe everyone else figured this out years ago, but it’s a new cleaning hack for me! 😂

I think I’ve found the pieces that finally make our dining room feel finished ✨

This little footstool went from dated to completely custom with Farrow & Ball’s Sulking Room Pink.

The soft, muddy rose makes the worn wood look richer and the whole piece feel more expensive. It adds warmth and personality but still acts like a neutral.

Now it looks like something we’d expect to find in a beautifully collected home instead of a forgotten corner.

I haven’t gotten many pool days this summer with all of the rain, so TBH, this is the first time I’ve worn a full body of sunscreen all summer long. But this one feels SO nice!

There’s something about red gingham in the summer ❤️

I wore this matching @Duffield Lane set on Sunday and immediately loved how easy it felt. The sleeveless top has the prettiest button details, and the midi skirt has pockets, an elastic back waistband, and enough movement to stay comfortable all day.

The fabric is lightweight cotton with a subtle stitched texture that gives it a little more personality than traditional gingham.

I can already tell I’ll be wearing these pieces together and separately all season long ☀️

Okay, this might be my newest hyperfixation 😂 I’ve known about @Thrive Market for years and have seen people talk about it but I recently did a deep dive on their site and now I completely understand the hype.

Okay apparently perimenopause is coming for my eyebrows now because why are there random sparse spots all of a sudden?

As someone who spent most of her life aggressively trying to tame a unibrow, this plot twist feels rude. 😂

I wanted something easy that didn’t involve another salon appointment and couldn’t be easily messed up, so I tried this @BAEBROW brow tint and honestly…it’s foolproof.

You literally just brush it through your brows until they’re fully coated. If you have sparse areas like me, add a little extra product there so it lightly stains the skin underneath too.

Then you wait 10 minutes, wipe it off, and that’s it. No complicated mixing steps or anything like that. Only water.

It just makes your brows look fuller, darker, and more defined without needing to pencil them in every day.

This week I celebrated my 52nd birthday and someone asked me how I feel about getting older.

To be honest, it’s a love/hate thing.

I’m loving the perspective that comes with age. I love knowing what truly matters and what doesn’t. But I do not love living through the lessons required to gain that perspective.

As we navigate yet another “major life stressor” in our household this year, I’m reminded of one of the most profound lessons I’ve learned over the last decade:

It can always, always, 𝙖𝙡𝙬𝙖𝙮𝙨 be worse.

I do not say so in a dismissive way or as a reason to ignore hard things. Only as a reminder to myself that perspective is a gift.

One that’s really hard to accept at times, but a gift nonetheless.

So shut up, Buttercup, put on some cute shoes and show up for your life. 💛

It’s messy, imperfect, and sometimes painful.

But it’s still your life.

And it really is a gift to exist.

If you’ve always wanted those big, romantic English garden roses but assumed they’d be difficult, these caught my eye. The blooms are a soft medium pink with over 100 petals each, a beautiful classic rose fragrance, and they rebloom from spring through fall. Sold as a set of two bare-root plants that can grow into substantial 4-6 ft rose bushes. It seems like nothing is made the way it used to be these days, so I was fully prepared for these to be overhyped because “luxury towels” rarely live up to the description anymore… but these actually do.

They’re thick, plush, genuinely absorbent Turkish cotton towels that feel more like the kind hotels and department stores used to carry years ago before everything became thin and flimsy after two washes. The quality immediately stood out to me and, after multiple washes on hot water with heavy-duty drying, they still feel substantial, soft, and incredibly well made.

I also love that they’re OEKO-TEX certified, have built-in hanger loops, and somehow manage to feel luxurious without being stiff or overly heavy. One of those underrated home upgrades that quietly makes everyday life feel better.

Shut the front door! It’s BACK 😱 My mom and I are obsessed with this and it’s constantly selling out and sometimes is completely removed from the website. It is a literal must have for EVERYONE with grays coming in, roots to cover or patches when you put your hair up. Again, an absolute must-have and unlike any other root touch-up I’ve used before! Easy to apply, goes on clean, and doesn’t transfer or get in your nails, etc. You need it! In fact I’d get two, that’s how good it is. 10/10 ⭐️
