✨ Sentimental Sunday✨ I love old things. Inherited things. Collected things. Things with handwriting on the back and chips along the edge. Things with stories that don’t make sense to anyone outside of my family or me. But I don’t believe the answer is to keep everything. And I don’t believe the answer is to strip our homes of anything that isn’t useful, either. I think there’s another conversation to have. What deserves to be carried forward? And how do we do that well? Sometimes the answer is keeping the thing. Sometimes it’s finally using it. Sometimes it’s learning the story before there’s no one left to ask. Sometimes it’s passing it to the person who will love it. And sometimes it’s realizing that we can release the object without releasing what it meant. That’s what I want to explore here this month. Not how to keep more. Not how to get rid of more. How to recognize what matters and carry the meaning forward. Legacy, Not Clutter. I have a feeling some of you have been waiting for this conversation, too. storykeeperstyle meaningfulhomedecor • • • • • • • Vintage Decor | Home Inspiration | Collected Home | Traditional Home | Sentimental Style | Curating a Joyful Life | The Sentimental Decorator | Joyful Rituals for Home sentimentalsunday thesentimentaldecorator sentimentalstyle
