I used to think books weren’t for me.
Reading was hard growing up, and I never really enjoyed it—but deep down, I always wished I had. So when I was pregnant, I prayed for one simple thing: that our daughter would love books. And God, in His kindness, answered.

She fell in love with books all on her own. No pressure, no forcing. Just joy.
They’re still her favorite “toy” to this day.

Reading to her every day lit a spark in me too. She inspired me to write my own children’s book series just for her—and now, I’m even exploring writing my first adult fiction novel.

And for the first time in my life… I’m enjoying reading too.

✨School Supply Drop-Off ✨
Yesterday we turned in our donation for a local student starting the school year — actually two students! We packed their bags with everything on the list, plus a few extra fun supplies and some handmade goodies from us 💛

DIY is one of the ways I show love, and even though we’ll never meet these kids, I hope they feel a little extra joy and encouragement when they open their bags. I made a few small things to remind them they are seen, capable, and deeply loved:
📚 a bookmark
💛 a pocket hug (heart)
💡 a pocket lightbulb
🎧 an earphone holder
🔑 2 reminder keychains
📖 and a few Bible verses tucked in to carry them through the year

My daughter may not fully understand what “school” is yet, but she knew we were giving a gift — and her excitement was the sweetest part.

Praying this small act brings big encouragement to the kids who receive it. 💫

Our church is collecting school supplies for local kids whose families need a little extra support this year. When we heard about it, my husband and I knew we wanted to help. I loved school supply shopping as a kid, and since our daughter isn’t in school yet, this felt like such a sweet way to pour that joy into someone else’s child.

We picked up two lists and headed to Walmart to find everything—plus a cute backpack I hope the little girl who receives it will love (I’ll link it in my LTK in case anyone else is looking!). It’s tough shopping for someone you’ve never met, but I just hope she’s likes it.

I’m also planning to include a little DIY gift—something handmade to make it extra special—but I’m honestly stumped right now (rare for me 😂). If you have any ideas, I’d love to hear them! 💡

✨Introducing my very first children’s book — made just for my daughter 🥹📖💗

This little book in the video is my rough first copy (so you’ll notice a few picture errors and a slightly off cover 😅), but I had to print one early just for her! All of that has been fixed for the official version, which will be available to purchase next month 🥰

This is the first in a series called Tales of Heavenly Manners — written to help teach manners and character in a sweet, storybook way. I’ve always believed in raising girls with strong values, grace, and purpose, but lately I’ve been reading and researching more about the importance of manners specifically — and how this lost art is so foundational for our children’s futures. It’s something I feel isn’t talked about enough today, especially in a positive, faith-based way. I wanted to create something my book-loving daughter would truly enjoy… something fairytale-inspired and filled with simple lessons and Bible verses to help her grow beautifully from the inside out 🌸👑📜

Writing has always been a quiet dream I tucked away, thinking I wasn’t “good enough”… but when I made a simple version of this on my phone and read it to my daughter, she kept asking for it again and again. That was all the encouragement I needed to finally follow this dream and create something just for her—and hopefully, for your little ones too 💕

She was so proud of her bag at Disney and couldn’t wait to show BB-8 himself 😭🧡 It made the whole experience even more magical for both of us 🥹✨

P.S. I’ve also gotten a few messages about her Rey dress! I wish I had filmed the process, but honestly I didn’t think it would turn out as good as it did 😅 It started as a simple thrifted dress that I planned to modify, and I just sewed on the extra details. It ended up being way cuter than I expected!

I made my daughter her very own Disney autograph book for our trip, and it ended up being one of the sweetest things ever 🥹💖 She was too nervous to meet the masked characters, but she loved meeting the princesses—and this little book helped so much with her nerves. Having something to give them made the whole experience less scary, and she was so excited to get their autographs! Even though she was super quiet in the moment, the second we left she lit up, flipping to their page with so much pride 🏰✨ She’d look back at them with the biggest smile🥹

I made the book super simply—just printed blank pages, stapled them together, and used a ChatGPT generated cartoon image of her in front of the castle. If you’ve got a little one who’s shy but curious about meeting characters, this might be a great way to make it feel more magical for them too 💫
