A wonderful scent filled evening celebrating the launch of @mindgamesfragrance in Manchester at @theivyasia last night. If I was to describe wearing fragrance then I would liken it to the sprinkles on the top of a cupcake. No cupcake is complete without them and no outfit should be considered complete without a signature scent. The fragrance you wear is very much part of your signature style. After discovering my favourite scent has been discontinued and there’s no stock available anymore, I’ve been wanting to find a replacement. The loss of my favourite scent has felt like a bad break up and one I’ve been mourning for weeks - I just need to find a replacement to get over it. So the timing of tonight’s event could not have been more perfect. A lovely intimate dinner at @theivyasia whilst we learnt all about the meaning purpose behind the @mindgamesfragrance brand. There’s something about discovering what a brand represents that creates a meaningful connection with the fragrance house itself. Being able to smell each of the beautiful fragrances and discover their notes was a real treat for me. I’ve always said if I wasn’t in fashion then I’d be in the beauty business. My two stand out fragrances were Mentor and Opera Mate which are both heady gorgeous scents. And the bottles which are sculpted as chess pieces would look effortlessly stylist on any dressing table. A delicious evening which awakened all my senses.
