Honestly? It's not the mess I'm crying over... It's the fact that the @chickfilathegrove fries are now gone too soon. 😭

And before anyone asks... YES, you can absolutely eat Chick-fil-A and still prioritize your health.

One of the biggest misconceptions about healthy eating is that every meal has to be homemade and Pinterest-perfect.

No, the Bible isn't a nutrition textbook. Its purpose is to reveal who God is and point us to Him.

But I do think it's beautiful that, from Genesis to Revelation, we see God providing simple, nourishing, whole foods that have stood the test of time.

Sometimes I wonder if we've made healthy eating far more complicated than it needs to be.
Instead of chasing every new trend, what if we simply started eating more of what God created and a little less of what has been engineered?

For our family, that looks like prioritizing:
✔️ Real meat and fish
✔️ Fruits and vegetables
✔️ Healthy fats like olive oil
✔️ Beans and lentils
✔️ High-quality salt and minerals
✔️ Sourdough when it works for us
✔️ Fewer ultra-processed foods

Is it perfect? Absolutely not. But it's a direction worth moving toward.

That's one of the biggest messages behind The Sunday Reset: whole health doesn't begin with perfection, it begins with stewardship.

Small choices.
Repeated consistently.
Rooted in God's design.

That’s not selfish. That’s stewardship.

Our kids are watching what we normalize and I want them to see that caring for the life God gave us matters. ❤️

What we repeatedly put into our minds eventually comes out in our thoughts, attitudes, words, and actions.

The music we listen to.
The shows we watch.
The content we consume.
The voices we allow to influence us.

None of us do this perfectly (Lord knows I've caught myself singing lyrics before realizing what I was actually saying 😅), but this reel was a good reminder for me: Am I filling my mind with things that draw me closer to God... or further away from Him?

One of the most important parts of my Sunday Reset is taking inventory of what I'm allowing into my heart and mind each week.

Peace doesn't happen by accident. Neither does spiritual growth. We become what we consistently consume.

Fun fact: I spent nearly a decade teaching Pure Barre and helped open the Homewood studio here in Birmingham. So somewhere along the way, normal dancing got replaced with squat pulses, tucks, and "shoulders down, core tight." 😅

But honestly? Those years taught me something that eventually became a huge part of my Sunday Reset:
Movement shouldn't be punishment.
It should be something that brings you JOY.

Whether that's a workout, a walk with a friend, chasing your kids, dancing at a wedding, or stretching in your living room, the goal isn't to become the fittest person in the room. The goal is to build a life where movement is just part of who you are.

So if you see me on the dance floor looking suspiciously like I'm doing a barre class... mind your business. 😂💛

One of the best pieces of marriage advice we were given was to never let the word divorce enter the chat. It’s not even on the table. (And unless you’re in an abusive relationship, I can’t recommend that mindset enough. 🫶)

I thank God for @esbrown85 every day. 🤍

Like every marriage, we’ve walked through hard seasons and had to learn how to fight for each other not against each other.

We had to stop viewing each other as if we were the enemy and learn to stand back-to-back, remembering we’re on the same team fighting against the world.

Over and over again, we’ve chosen each other.

I believe God ordained our marriage to keep pointing us back to Jesus, and I’m SO thankful He gave me Eric. 🤍

And these date days (in Greece 🇬🇷 !!!) + nights that end with us singing in the car together? Always going to be one of my favorite things!💃🎤

Wellness fatigue is REAL. 😵‍💫

One expert says do this. Another says NEVER do that. Buy this. Toss that. Avoid this ingredient. And just when you think you're doing something “healthy,” someone on the internet tells you you're doing it wrong. 😂

It can leave you wondering... will I ever be healthy enough?

And the answer is: probably not perfectly. And in fact, if you worry about it too much, it's probably worse for your mental health than the actual physical harm you're incurring. 😬

We're never going to achieve perfect health on this side of Heaven and that was never the assignment.

The goal is faithful stewardship....small daily choices that add up to help your pile of good things grow!🪴

Learn. Ask questions. Make the best choices you can with what you know + what you have. Become 1% better. And then trust God with what you can't control.

That's been such a freeing shift for me and it's a huge heartbeat behind The Sunday Reset.

70,000+ words somehow came out of my mind and heart and onto a word document...WHAT?!

Somehow it feels like it's impossible to put every caveat and note needed and keep it short and sweet. It feels so weighty to have these words written down FOR-EVA, (for-eva eva, for-eva eva- Black Eyed Peas, anyone?!) 😆

I can't begin to imagine how each word will hit your heart and other's hearts and then wonder if they'll. be interpreted wrong or not land. I'm SO thankful that I have several editors and even friends and family who are stepping in and helping me make sure my chaos makes sense. Poor @Tyndalehouse probably isn't going to love how HEFTY this is. LOTS of editing to do but shewwww that was a long and draining day to try to hit my deadline... let's goooo!

But I think the bigger conversation is understanding that not all peps are the same, and knowing what you’re actually choosing.

For me, I wasn’t looking for another extreme approach.

I wanted something simple that could fit alongside the things I was already doing:
lifting
walking
prioritizing protein
sleeping well
taking care of my body for the long game

That’s what made the natural p*p route interesting to me.

And after seeing my own progress + watching so many other women stay consistent with their routines, I’m even more convinced that supporting the body while you’re already doing the work can matter.

No magic wand.
No replacing the basics.
Just another tool in the toolbox.
