About once a month, when her bathroom gets to be too much, we tag team it together. I know some of you would rather see her do it all on her own, and someday she will! For now I’m showing her how, and honestly it turns into some of our best one-on-one time. We put on music, talk about her day, and it goes so much faster with two of us. My best tip: give them a heads up. Tell them the day before and again that morning. Preparation is key! Do the messes frustrate me? Absolutely. But she’s a kid. My goal is to help her build good habits and take care of her space, one deep breath at a time.
