About once a month, when her bathroom gets to be too much, we tag team it together. I know some of you would rather see her do it all on her own, and someday she will! For now I’m showing her how, and honestly it turns into some of our best one-on-one time. We put on music, talk about her day, and it goes so much faster with two of us.

My best tip: give them a heads up. Tell them the day before and again that morning. Preparation is key!

Do the messes frustrate me? Absolutely. But she’s a kid. My goal is to help her build good habits and take care of her space, one deep breath at a time.

Parents of preteens, what’s the messiest spot in your house right now? 👇

Summer to fall porch reset!

Before any fall decor comes out, everything gets a deep clean. I power washed everything, deep cleaned the windows, scrubbed the concrete, and let it all dry completely before decorating.

I keep my fall decor simple and easy to take care of. Faux fall flowers look real from the street and never need watering. I soak my mums in water for 20 minutes so they last all season without daily watering. Then a couple of fall wreaths finish it off.

Clean porch, easy decor, and now I'm ready for fall! 🍂

2 things that keep my porch looking great until the first snow 🍂

1) Soak your mums before they go in the pot. Most store-bought mums have a dry, root-bound root ball, so water runs right off the top. Set the plant in a bucket of water for about 20 minutes, until the bubbles stop. Once the roots are fully soaked, you won’t be watering every day all fall.

2) Mix in faux flowers. I put a foam ball in the bottom of a basket and pushed fall-colored stems into it until it looked full. From the sidewalk you can’t tell they’re fake. They don’t wilt or need water, and I get to reuse them every year instead of buying new flowers every fall.

One real, one fake, and both last all season. 🙌

This year, instead of one shared homework station, each of my girls has her own homework caddy. Everything they need is right at their fingertips, so I'm hoping homework time feels a little less chaotic this year.
I also added a pack of EXTRA gum to each caddy as a fun little surprise. EXTRA gum has five calories per stick.

5 things I ALWAYS do before decorating for fall 🍂

Before the pumpkins, cozy pillows, and fall decor come out, I like to give the house a little seasonal reset first:

🍂 Refresh the couch with baking soda
🍂 Make a fall simmer pot
🍂 Wash all of my Ruggable rugs
🍂 Deep clean the floors — Mr. Clean Harvest Spice is perfect for this time of year
🍂 Wash all the throw blankets

There’s just something about having everything clean, fresh, and smelling like fall before I start decorating. 🤎

And the easiest fall simmer pot:

• 1 apple, sliced
• 1 orange, sliced
• 2–3 cinnamon sticks
• 1 tsp whole cloves
• 1 tsp vanilla
• Water to cover

Add everything to a pot, bring it to a gentle simmer, then turn the heat down low. Add more water as needed and let your house smell AMAZING. 🍎🍊

Save this for your fall reset. 🍂

The Sunday setup that saves my sanity 🙌🏼

There’s something about starting the week with a clean fridge, a stocked pantry, and meals/snacks ready to grab and go that just makes busy school mornings SO much easier.

I’ve been using Sundays to reset the fridge, clean out the pantry, restock everything, and get a little meal prep done before the week begins. It takes some time on the front end, but I swear I get that time (and a whole lot of sanity) back all week long.

Because when everyone is rushing out the door for school, the last thing I want to think about is, “What are we going to eat?” 😂

A little Sunday prep = a much calmer week. 🤍

#LTKmomlife #LTKHome #LTKKids

The cleaning tasks I keep avoiding… 😂

You know the ones. The washer that needs a DEEP clean, the dryer lint that’s been sitting there, the couch cushions that desperately need to be vacuumed… all of it. 🙃

Thankfully, my girls helped me tackle some of it, which made it way easier (and honestly more fun 🤍).

And that dirty water at the end?! SO satisfying. 😂

A little reset around the house and it already feels 10x better.

What’s the cleaning task you’ve been avoiding?

#LTKHome #LTKmomlife #LTKdayinmylife

If your command center is anything like ours, the top somehow becomes a dumping ground for charging cords, iPads, and all the things that need to be plugged in. 😅

We wanted to keep the function without all the visual clutter, so this simple rattan basket became the perfect little hiding spot for the cords and electronics.

Same charging station. WAY less chaos.

#organization #momhack #declutter #backtoschool #cleaningmotivation

If getting out the door for school every morning feels a little chaotic… these systems might help. 👏🏼

⏰ The 8:12 timer: The girls know the goal—get dressed, eat breakfast, brush their hair + teeth, and be completely ready for school. If they finish everything in time, they get to watch a little TV until the timer goes off at 8:12. Simple, predictable motivation that WORKS.

🎀 A hair caddy: Everything they need to brush, detangle, and style their hair lives right in the main-floor bathroom.

🪥 A toothbrush bin: No running upstairs at the last minute. Their toothbrushes + everything they need are easily accessible on the main floor.

👗 Sunday outfit prep: They pick out their clothes for the entire week and put them in a labeled hanging organizer by day. No morning outfit decisions required.

🧺 A laundry-room “special clothes” bin: Sports, gym clothes, and anything else they need to keep track of has a designated spot so it doesn’t get lost in their bedrooms.

The common theme? Make the things they need EASY to access. 🙌🏼

Less running around. Less decision-making. Less “WHERE IS YOUR ___?!” 😂

And honestly, sometimes the best organization systems are the ones that make the right thing the easiest thing to do.

Which one would make your school mornings easier? 👇🏼

#LTKdayinmylife #LTKmorningroutine #LTKmomlife

#AD One thing I've learned this summer... if I want my girls to actually want to help around the house, I have to make it fun. Between my three girls, our kitchen is basically a nonstop snack station 😂 which also means... endless dishes.
So I let them come with me to Target and pick out their own cleaning tools. I’ve realized that something as simple as letting them choose made them so much more excited to help. We pair it with timers, rewards, and lots of encouragement, and it's honestly been such a game changer.
We picked up the NEW BRITE by Scotch-Brite® cleaning tools, and the girls immediately loved all the bright colors. My favorite part? The little drain & dry stand keeps the sponge off the counter so it can dry cleaner between uses, and everything can go right in the dishwasher to clean so I know I have fresh sponges for each day.

Lunch packing hack to make your school mornings easier, from a mom of 3! 👇

After starting this system in our home, our mornings have been SO much less stressful. I ultimately get to choose what goes into their lunches, but the girls still get a say in what they’re eating. 🙌

They get to pick one sandwich, one fruit, one veggie, one miscellaneous item, and one pantry snack! 🍎🍇🥦🫛

And the best part? It completely eliminates the daily arguments about what we’re having for lunch because they get to make their own choices from the options I’ve already provided. Win-win! 👏

I try to prep and restock the bins on Sunday so we’re set for the whole week. It’s one less thing to think about on busy school mornings!

A mid-summer reset I didn’t know we needed. ☀️

The kitchen and living room got a good refresh, the dishwasher + garbage disposal got DEEP cleaned, the garbages got scrubbed out, and even the outside of the windows got some love. ✨

And can we talk about this @windex that attaches to your hose?! 🙌 So easy and honestly makes washing the outside of the windows feel way less intimidating.

Nothing dramatic… just a good mid-summer reset that made the whole house feel better. 🤍

Two things I do on Sundays to make summer easier ☀️

A little prep now saves so much time (and stress!) during the week.

✨ 1. Food prep
I like to have a few grab-and-go options ready:
• Yogurt bark for easy summer snacks 🍓
• Lunches prepped for myself
• Breakfast muffins for the girls so mornings are simple

I’m sharing the recipes below so you can try them too!

✨ 2. Restocking the spaces we use every day
There’s nothing worse than reaching for something you need and realizing it’s gone, so I take a few minutes to reset our supplies.

My laundry room reset included my stain caddy, stocked with:
🧼 Stain remover spray
🧼 OxiClean or stain powder
🧼 Laundry brush
🧼 White cloths/rags
🧼 Shout wipes or stain sticks for quick messes
🧼 Any laundry essentials I’m running low on

I also restocked under the kitchen sink with:
✨ Dishwasher tablets
✨ Microfiber cloths
✨ Sanitizing wipes

Everything is cleaned up, stocked, and ready to go — making the busy summer weeks feel a little smoother. 🤍

What’s one thing you do on Sundays that makes your week easier?

If you’ve been putting off cleaning your garbage can… this is your sign. 🤢

Somehow mine got maggots (don’t judge 😅), so it was officially time.

Here’s exactly what I used:
🧼 Dawn dish soap
🍶 vinegar
💦 Hot water
🪥 A good scrub brush

A few minutes later, it was clean, deodorized, and I no longer dreaded opening the lid.

Save this for the next time your garbage can starts smelling… and send it to the friend whose trash can probably needs this too. 😂

You know those cleaning tasks you stop noticing… until one day you really notice them? 😅

My shower was officially at that point. Those orange hard water stains had been staring at me for way too long, so I finally set a timer and tackled it.

Thirty minutes later, it was done. That’s it.

The best part wasn’t just having a clean shower—it was not having to look at it every single day anymore. Sometimes the biggest win is getting rid of the little thing that’s been quietly bothering you for weeks.

If you’ve been putting off one cleaning task, this is your sign. Future you will be so glad it’s done. 🤍

✨ Monthly cleaning tasks that are easy to forget—but make a BIG difference.

These aren’t things I do every week, but adding them to my monthly reset helps keep the house feeling cleaner without a ton of extra work.

✔️ Deep clean your bedding. I like using my mattress vacuum with UV light to help remove dust mites, allergens, and bacteria from mattresses and pillows before putting on fresh sheets.

✔️ Soak water bottles and tumblers. A Polident tablet works wonders for breaking down buildup in those hard-to-reach spots (especially lids and straws).

✔️ Wash your shower curtain and liner. Most can go right in the washing machine, and it’s such an easy way to freshen up the whole bathroom.

✔️ Scrub your trash cans. Even with liners, they collect spills, odors, and grime over time. A quick wash keeps them smelling fresh.

It’s amazing how much cleaner your home feels when you stay ahead of the things you don’t always see.

💛 Which one have you been putting off?

#LTKmomlife #LTKdayinmylife #LTKHome

Your laundry room might look clean… but these are the spots that quietly collect the most dirt. 🧺👇

- The washer gasket (if you know, you know 😅)
- Behind the washer & dryer where lint and dust bunnies hide
- Inside the dryer vent with my favorite lint-removal tool
- Grout lines that stay looking fresh with regular maintenance

None of these jobs take very long, but doing them every so often helps your laundry room stay cleaner, smell fresher, and even helps your appliances work more efficiently.

Which one have you been forgetting?

my pre-teen and I gave her bedroom and bathroom a full reset in just one hour. We decluttered, cleaned, organized, and laughed our way through it—and by the end, she had a space she was proud of.

If you’ve been putting off your child’s room because it feels overwhelming, try this: set a timer for 60 minutes, turn on your favorite playlist, and work side by side. Progress beats perfection every time.

Summer break means I’m restocking this kitchen… again. 😅

It always amazes me how quickly snacks disappear, the pantry empties, and the fridge somehow needs another refill. If you’re feeding kids all summer long, I know you get it!

There’s just something so satisfying about starting the week with a fully stocked kitchen. It makes busy mornings, snack requests, and meal prep feel just a little easier.

Today, they helped me reset their space from top to bottom, and honestly, I wouldn’t have it any other way. There may be double the hair accessories, double the clutter, and double the messes… but there’s also double the teamwork.

Summer doesn’t have to mean adding more to your to-do list. ☀️ Sometimes a few simple resets are all it takes to make your home feel fresh again.

Here are the 5 things I tackled to refresh our front porch:
1. Pressure washed the concrete
2. Scrubbed away the dirt and grime
3. Cleaned the windows and screens
4. Added a few simple summer decorations
5. Used faux plants instead of real ones (because this busy mom doesn’t need one more thing to keep alive 😅)

The best part? None of these projects took a ton of time, but together they completely changed the feel of our front porch.

Which one are you adding to your summer to-do list?

#LTKdayinmylife

Sometimes all it takes is one focused hour to make your home feel so much lighter. ✨

Today I tackled two chaotic closets in under an hour, and the difference is incredible. I didn’t aim for perfection—I just focused on clearing out what wasn’t serving us, creating simple systems, and making these spaces easier to use every day.

If you’ve been avoiding that one messy closet, consider this your reminder: you don’t have to organize your whole house today. Just start with one small space. You might be surprised how much calmer your home feels afterward.

Which closet in your home needs a reset the most? 👇

#homeorganization #closetorganization #declutteryourhome #organizedhome #cleaningtips

Your living room might look clean, but don’t forget these 4 hidden dirt hotspots.

Sometimes the reason a room still feels dirty—even after you’ve vacuumed and tidied up—is because the mess is hiding in places you don’t see every day.

✔️ Crumbs hiding under couch cushions
✔️ Dirt trapped deep in carpet fibers
✔️ Scuffs and grime on walls and baseboards
✔️ Remote controls touched by everyone but cleaned by no one

These aren’t necessarily tasks to add to your weekly cleaning routine, but they’re worth tackling when you have a little extra time and want your home to feel noticeably fresher.

It’s often the hidden dirt—not the visible clutter—that makes the biggest difference.

Which of these spots could use some attention in your home?

#LTKdayinmylife #LTKmomlife #LTKHome

The minute the weather finally warms up, the backyard becomes the heart of the house. ☀️

Today we gave our patio a little refresh for summer—washing down the concrete, cleaning the furniture, setting up a simple DIY bug-repellent candle, and getting everything ready for the girls to spend countless hours outside.

There’s something so satisfying about creating a space that’s ready for slow summer evenings, sticky popsicle fingers, backyard dinners, and watching the sunset while the kids play.

None of it has to be perfect. Just clean enough, cozy enough, and ready to be lived in.

Here’s to a summer full of sunshine, memories, and making the most of the spaces we already have. 🌿✨

I don’t know who needs to hear this, but if your kids are home for the summer… now is the time to stock the pantry. 😅

With three active girls, I know what’s coming - endless snack requests, sports practices, pool days, and somehow everyone being hungry ALL. THE. TIME.

I’ve learned that spending a little time restocking now saves me from a hundred last-minute grocery runs later.

Plus, there’s something so satisfying about opening a pantry that’s actually ready for the summer chaos.

Everything I’m cleaning before my kids start summer break ☀️🧺

Because once summer officially starts… the house somehow gets messier 10x faster 😅

Before we shift into pool days, snacks every 14 minutes, wet towels on the floor, and kids home 24/7, I’m trying to reset the spaces that make the biggest difference for my mental load:

• washing bedding
• cleaning windows
• decluttering countertops
• deep cleaning the microwave
• resetting the bathrooms
• vacuuming all the hidden crumbs 😵‍💫

Nothing perfect. Just creating a calmer space before the beautiful summer chaos begins 🤍

Any other moms doing a “pre-summer reset” this week?

#LTKmomlife #LTKHome

POV: you only have 30 minutes… but your shower desperately needs attention 😅🧼

It’s easy to feel like cleaning has to be an all-day project to make a difference, but honestly? You’d be surprised what you can get done when you just start. Even a quick reset can make your whole bathroom feel fresher, calmer, and more manageable. ✨

Sometimes progress > perfection.
