Unbothered IS the new chic.

In my quest to do LESS, remove anything that makes me feel insecure, annoyed or sucks my precious time, I stopped going to the nail salon. Completely.

I don’t even polish my nails anymore.

Gel mani/pedis were damaging my nails, and eating my time and money. And if I was being really honest, saving my nails was keeping me from doing things I really love.

But guess what? My hands and feet look more elegant and youthful this way. Natural nails feel more chic than fake nails ever did. And these hands that can actually live.

I’m ruthless about my peace these days, and this small change has given it back in so many ways!

This season has been about coming home to myself.

After years of people-pleasing, choosing myself took intention—and support. I sought it in therapy, coaching and training, and I’m grateful I did.

Under-eye: DRMTLGY Luminous Eye Corrector with SPF in Tan + Kosas Corrector in Fantasy + Laura Mercier brightening powder in Golden. Start with DRMTLGY corrector/SPF lightly applied all over under eyes. Follow with tiny dots of Kosas at inner eye corner, outer eye corner, & darkest areas. Let sit for 1-2 mins then spread with light strokes. Allow to dry, then set with light dusting of LM brightening powder.

Face: Drmtlgy MatteTinted SPF + Elaluz illuminating primer in Show Stopper.

Contour: Sale contour in Swim.

Cheeks: Chanel Les Beiges in Intense Coral (a little goes a long way!)—let that dry. Blend all your face, eyes, then top off cheeks with Stila Lilium before setting spray.

This may be my easiest and most loved Halloween costume! I’d already thrifted the tuxedo shirt (you might remember this L.K. Bennett shirt from my Designer Label Thrifted Outfits post) and that is the actual sleep mask that I keep on my nightstand. The only thing I ordered was the purple tassel earrings I know I’ll re-wear in next spring/summer. The tricky part was how to wear this men’s shirt without a slip in modesty, but my sheer hose and boy shorts did the trick! I felt confident and secure, and had a great time without anything showing.

Listen to me, don’t waste another day waiting for that someday to *feel* the life of luxury you dream of. This is for the ladies who have classic, refined taste, who love old money style, but feel all of this is out of their reach. Whether it’s your income, debts or other circumstances presently out of your control, you still have full control over *how* you experience your reality. Make small choices every day that align you with the life of luxury you want to experience. You can afford it, you can do it, and you deserve it!

Here are a few small ways I’ve embraced a life of luxury lately:

1. I bought a robovac for upstairs and one for downstairs. I didn’t splurge on the super expensive ones, each was about $200. But as someone with cats, I found I was constantly after the hair and litter on the floor and decided my time back was a luxury I deserve. That small investment pays dividends every day, and I have more time for put towards myself.

2. I order my @chanel.beauty Les Beiges Water-Fresh Blush I use daily directly from @chanelofficial for the pretty packaging, free samples and cute notecard. One luxury item becomes multiple little luxury gifts to me. 💕

3. I put a coffee and tea station in my bedroom, so I can journal in bed with my coffee before the world touches me. It creates a sense of hotel-stay luxury at home and insulates me in that experience first thing, setting a high-vibe tone for the rest of my day.
