At 41 + being a mom of two, I’m all about a quick makeup routine that makes me look alive, put together, and lasts longer than my patience in the morning. 😂

Pencil Eyeliner can be POWERFUL… but more isn’t always better. If you’re over 35, you may have noticed that the way you applied eyeliner in your 20s doesn’t always have the same effect anymore.

When we draw a thick, harsh line all the way around the eye, it can visually close the eye in and actually make it look smaller.

Try this instead: use your pencil lightly and softly around the your eyes (think more shading) and try not to go all the way to the inner corner of the eyes. You don’t need a heavy line to define your eyes!

And if you’ve been applying your eyeliner the “old way” forever… don’t worry, you’re definitely not alone. 😉 Sometimes it’s just about making a small change that makes a BIG difference.

Here’s your reminder to try this tinted moisturizer if you haven’t already. This stuff is truly amazing and it’s like $7 (and under)! And, mature skin approved. I’m 41 and I’ve used this for years. Not gonna lie… I’m not feeling 100% for the last couple of days since my girls trip to Bar Harbor 🫠 And on days like this, the LAST thing I want to do is spend 20 minutes doing my makeup.

But I also know that sometimes just putting a little something on my face makes me feel a little more like myself. So today I kept it super simple — 4 products and about 3 minutes. Just enough to add a little color, brighten things up, and feel a bit more put together. ❤️

#AD Losing definition in your eyebrows and lips can happen as we age so I partnered with @Target and @Maybelline to show you that you can still get a natural defined brow and lips using affordable products that actually work 👏

I started with the Ultra Slim Brow Pencil and Super Lock Brow Glue (both in shade: Taupe). I still like a natural brow and these two together give me the perfect defined brow without looking too harsh on my sparse eyebrows. For the lips, I used the Lifter Liner in shade: Line Leader (the perfect my lips but better shade) and the Serum Lipstick in shade: Crop Top for a little extra color. My under eye makeup routine has definitely changed over the years and now I really just focus on color correction.
