Day 6 hair rescue.

Sometimes my hair is flat, tired, and definitely not freshly washed, and honestly, I don't always want to fully wash and restyle it either.

Living Proof sent me their Perfect Hair Day New Style Refresh Mist, so I gave it a try because I already love their dry shampoo.

I've been using it through the lengths to refresh my style with a little heat instead of starting completely over, and it really helps bring my hair back to life.

Especially as my hair has changed with age, I've found that extending a style gently works so much better for me than over-washing.

My nightly protein brownie bowl.

One of the biggest things that changed for me over the years?
I stopped thinking I had to cut out dessert to stay on track.

This is the exact brownie I make on repeat to support muscle, recovery, energy, and consistency.

Recipe:
• 1 box Simple Mills brownie mix
• 2 scoops chocolate protein powder (I used peanut butter chocolate)
• 1 cup non-fat Greek yogurt
• 1 cup water

Bake at 350 for about 20 minutes, or until done.
Cut into 9 squares.

Per brownie:
~150 calories
~11–12g protein
~6–7g fat
~12–14g carbs
~2–3g fiber

I usually turn it into a bowl and top it with yogurt mixed with vanilla protein powder (or homemade protein ice cream) and berries.

My go-to walking outfit.

These sweats are a staple for me. I wear them all the time and would absolutely get a second pair. Just a great basic that actually gets worn. Wearing a medium.

The cropped jacket is another favorite, easy to throw on and pulls everything together. Wearing a small.

These are my all-time favorite feet-healthy walking shoes. I grab them every time I head out.

I also always carry a small crossbody phone bag, I keep my phone, a lip gloss, and a mini sunscreen for my hands.

Muscle changes how you age.

And if you’re not strength training a minimum of 2x per week, you’re setting yourself up for a much harder road later.

Muscle supports metabolism. Muscle protects bone density. Muscle improves balance and strength. And muscle helps prevent the muscle loss that accelerates as we age.

After 50, building and maintaining muscle becomes one of the most important things you can do for your future health.

This is why I lift weights.

Not to be smaller. Not to chase some unrealistic standard.
But to stay strong, capable, and independent for the decades ahead.
I’m training for my 70s, 80s, and beyond.

I’m 64, and if you had told me years ago that my skin could actually improve with age, I probably wouldn’t have believed you.

I grew up thinking aging skin was just something you had to accept.
But I’ve learned something different.

My skin responds when I support it.

These are two treatments I use every week.

My NIRA laser is a non-ablative laser that delivers controlled heat into the deeper layers of my skin. That heat triggers a repair response in the dermis, which helps stimulate new collagen and strengthen the existing collagen network. Over time that can help soften lines, improve firmness, and strengthen the structure of the skin itself.
I use it around my eyes, along my jawline, and around my mouth, places where skin tends to thin and soften first.
