This is one of those outfits that looks effortless, but every piece is doing something. I built this look around a striped cashmere rugby-style polo from Apres June in chocolate brown and black. I had my eye on it for a while — 100% cashmere isn’t something I buy casually — but it went on sale and I couldn’t pass it up. The fabric is incredibly soft, slightly lightweight, and drapes beautifully without looking frumpy, even though it’s intentionally oversized. The exaggerated collar and deep V give it that classic rugby feel, but it still reads feminine. It has that “borrowed from your boyfriend” energy, but styled in a way that feels intentional rather than sloppy. I paired it with faded black barrel jeans from Gap that hit right at the ankle on me. The wider barrel leg balances the oversized top, and the shorter length keeps the outfit from feeling too long or overwhelming. Oversized on oversized can go wrong fast, and this break in proportion is what makes it work. To keep the look casual and comfortable, I added a fuzzy chocolate brown Nike beanie and finished it with black-and-white Gola tennis shoes. The pink laces were the deciding factor — they add just enough softness and contrast to keep the outfit from feeling too heavy or masculine. This outfit was extremely comfortable and very wearable. It’s casual, easy, and still feels cool — exactly what I want from an everyday look. For reference: I’m 6’3”. Do you gravitate more toward oversized pieces styled intentionally, or do you prefer cleaner, more structured fits? Comment SHOP and I’ll send the outfit details. LTKootd LTKPlusSize LTKTall
