French Onion Soup Tart Bites Makes about 8-10 tarts Prep Time: 10 minutes Cook Time: 20 minutes Ingredients • 1 package frozen puff pastry • 1 package (about 8 oz.) small pearl onions, thinly sliced • 2 tablespoons olive oil • 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze • 1/2 teaspoon salt • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper • 1 tablespoon fresh thyme leaves, plus more for garnish • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese • 2 tablespoons butter, melted Directions 1 Preheat oven to 400°F and line a large sheet pan with parchment paper. 2 Make small piles by adding a drizzle of olive oil and balsamic glaze for each tart. Sprinkle with salt, pepper, and fresh thyme, then layer a few slices of pearl onion on top. Finish each pile with a sprinkle of grated Parmesan. 3 Cut the puff pastry into 8–10 small squares, making each piece large enough to completely cover the onion mixture. Place one piece of puff pastry over each pile and gently press down around all four edges. 4 Brush the tops of the puff pastry with melted butter. 5 Bake for approximately 18–20 minutes or until the puff pastry is puffed and golden brown. 6 Let the tarts cool on the pan for a few minutes, then carefully flip each one over so the caramelized onion and Parmesan mixture is facing up. 7 Finish with additional fresh thyme, Parmesan, or your favorite garnish and serve warm. Enjoy! LTKfoodie LTKSeasonal LTKHome
