Cacio e Pepe, but make it crispy, easy to prep, and protein-packed thanks to a little Tara Time recipe with my special guest, Lisa! We had so much fun making these Cacio e Pepe Pasta Bites that are perfect for snacking, sharing, or sneaking a few straight from the pan 😋 Every bite is packed with a cheesy, peppery flavor that will have you reaching for more!

Check out the recipe below so you can make it at home with just a few simple ingredients you probably already have in your pantry! 💫

Cacio e Pepe Protein Pasta Bites

Ingredients:
-8 oz. high-protein farfalle pasta
-2 oz. Pecorino Romano, finely grated
-1 tsp. Freshly ground black pepper
-1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
-2 cups vegetable oil
-Marinara or any other pasta sauce of your choice for dipping

Directions
-In a large pot, bring salted water to a boil and add farfalle pasta.
-Cook 6-8 minutes until pasta is just about al dente.
-Drain pasta, then spread it out on a paper towel-lined baking sheet so it’s completely dry..
-Once it’s dry, add vegetable oil to pasta and mix it together.
-Add pasta to air fryer (or place on baking sheet in toaster oven with air fryer setting) in a single layer and bake for 5 minutes. Flip the pasta and then bake for 2-3 more minutes. You can always divide the pasta into separate batches as needed with a smaller air fryer.
-While it’s hot, add the grated Pecorino Romano and the freshly ground black pepper.
-Heat marinara sauce (or pasta sauce of your choice) for dipping!

Throwing it back to one of my all-time favorite comfort meals - Maid-Rites, a fancy take on a classic Sloppy Joe! This is one of those recipes I come back to again and again because it’s easy to make, delicious, and perfect for busy weeknight dinners 🍽️

Try this recipe out for yourself - I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do! 😋

Maid-Rites Recipe

Ingredients:
1 cup chopped yellow onion
1 lb ground beef
1 box of Pepperidge Farm frozen Garlic Texas Toast
2 cloves minced garlic
1/4 cup beef broth
1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
1 tbsp light brown sugar
1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
1 tsp salt
1 tsp soy sauce
1 tsp yellow mustard
1/4 tsp black pepper
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Pickle chips as toppings

Directions:
-Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
-Heat skillet over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and onion and cook for about 8 minutes until meat is browned and onions are softened, while stirring frequently.
-Add garlic cloves and stir constantly for 1 minute until fragrant.
-In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, apple cider vinegar, light brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, salt, soy sauce, yellow mustard, and pepper.
-Pour sauce into skillet with beef and onion mixture for about 2 minutes until sauce has reduced slight, stirring often. Remove from heat
-Arrange toasts in an even layer on a large baking sheet. Bake for about 8 to 9 minutes, until crisp and lightly browned but still soft in the center.
-Remove from the oven and use a spoon to create a circle shaped well into the Texas Toast without cutting through all the way.
-Spoon 1/4 cup of meat mixture onto each toast and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top.
-Put the toasts with meat mixture back into the oven for about 5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the toasts are crispy.
-Top with pickle chips and enjoy!

If you know me, you know I love anything French Onion–inspired, so I had to share this French Onion Cauliflower recipe! 💛 It has all the same rich, comforting flavors of everyone’s favorite soup, just in a lighter version that’s perfect to enjoy all winter long. It’s easy to put together, can be made as a side dish or entree, and is such a great way to change up your usual dinner routine 🍽️

Ingredients
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 large onion, sliced
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
3/4 tsp fresh thyme
1/2 tsp ground pepper
5 cups cauliflower, sliced
2 cloves fresh garlic, chopped
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup shredded Gruyere cheese

Directions
-Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Lightly coat a large rimmed baking sheet with cooking spray.
-Heat 1 tbsp of olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-Add Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and 1/4 tsp pepper. Reduce heat to medium low and continue cooking for 10-15 minutes until golden brown, stirring often. Remove from heat.
-Add sliced cauliflower in an even layer to the baking sheet. Combine 1 tbsp of olive oil with chopped garlic and salt in a small bowl. Brush this over the sliced cauliflower and roast for about 10 minutes until tender.
-Remove from oven and top with the caramelized onions and cheese.
-Put back in oven and roast for about 2-3 minutes until the cheese has melted.
