When I became a first-time mom, I put so much pressure on myself to get back in shape right away… and I felt such strong resistance from my body. The second time around, I already understood my body better. I wasn’t trying to “bounce back” while breastfeeding. I gave myself time and grace to actually enjoy the postpartum time.
