Growing up we lived with my grandparents, and while the circumstances of why we lived there would be considered "not great" the reality is I'm grateful for it. My grandaddy came from a family of Irish immigrants and he would wake me up every morning playing on the piano. A skill he had taught himself, much like cooking. The kitchen was his domain and he taught us to make Irish soda bread, corned beef and cabbage on special occasions, and always gave space for me to learn beside him. These recipes connected him to his family, and us to our Irish heritage. Do you have someone in your life like that? I'd love to hear about them! This connection to Ireland made creating these looks all the more enjoyable as it felt a bit like being home. A few of you are heading there this fall, and I'm looking forward to hearing all about your adventures! Many of these outfits will be perfect for trips to the Northeast as well. #LTKHalloween
