Long before I started Wear to Wander, I was creating handmade jewelry. For all I know, some of you may even wear it still. From the beginning my sister was my number one cheerleader, similar to the way she is here. We’d have long calls discussing improvements for current designs and talk over inspiration for new pieces. After the first year of business, she asked me if I was ready for something bigger. That’s when she introduced me to a friend who helped me get into a dream location- the Pebble Beach Golf Club. I still have to pinch myself sometimes when I think about that opportunity to not only be sold in the store but also set up a display for the AT&T tournament. Seeing Carmel/Pebble Beach during that time was a whirlwind of excitement and one of the most memorable moments for many reasons. All of this to say, I’m certain that the dreams we see fulfilled are in large part due to the hard work we put in. But I’m even more certain that without the support system of our cheerleaders and sounding boards, many of those dreams would never come to fruition or even be realized.
