‘Tis the (flu 🙄) season and I’m pulling out all the big guns!
For years I’ve been seeing elderberries become more and more popular, especially around flu season. After a little research, I learned that elderberries have so many amazing benefits. They’re high in nutrients like vitamin C, dietary fiber, a good source of phenolic acids and flavonoid, and rich in anthocyanin. They also improve cold and flu symptoms, are high in antioxidants, and good for heart health.
It was kinda a no brainer to have on hand to add to my wellness toolbox and boost my immune system this season. So I whipped up my first batch of homemade Elderberry syrup this past weekend and infused it with Thieves Vitality for extra immune support. I have my full recipe over on today’s blog post.
