Since I took the entire week off, I wanted to enjoy all the popular hot spots in the daytime. I was surprised to see all these areas so empty! I ventured to Seaport Village in the morning but it was already warm. To combat the heat, I wore blue linen pants with a blue and white stripe sweater vest. I knew there wasn’t going to be any shade so I wore my Panama hat as well. For an ultra casual vibe, I wore my Marc Jacobs Snapshot crossbody and loafer mules! On a rather chilly day in San Diego, I wore a thin ribbed turtleneck top with one of my favorite jackets! I’ve had this camouflage faux fur utility jacket for many years and it’s still in pristine condition. It got me through grad school and it’s one of those pieces I refuse to part with! Anyways, I decided to keep my outfit minimal so I paired this with my black pants and brown pointy toe pumps.

I hope you had a wonderful Memorial Day weekend! I spent it going to some of my favorite spots around San Diego. It was extremely crowded downtown with the holiday and Padres game. It was still pretty chilly but it looks like it’s finally heating up this week! I wore this cream/ivory sequin shell top and side lace-up shorts on a peculiarly warm day. MediHeal’s Teatree Trouble Pad comes in a refillable container and also includes plastic tweezer so you can easily grab the square cotton pads without contaminating it.

After cleansing my face, I use a full pad on my cheeks. This is similar to gauze so if you want to cover smaller portions of your face, like your forehead and chin, you can easily tear and adjust the cotton pad to your liking.

I initially left this on my face for only 5 minutes to see if my skin would react to it but thankfully, everything worked out fine!

Afterwards, I take the pad and use it to wipe my face to enhance absorption. The hero ingredients are TeaTreee from Jeju Island and Lactobacillus.

I wanted to share one of my latest favorite products: MediHeal’s Teatree Calming Moisture Ampoule.

I have combination skin where it’s oily in certain regions and dry in others. On top of that, I have sensitive, acne-prone skin. Teatree is thought to be acne-fighting so I was excited to try this out! This is highly concentrated and made with 92% Tea Tree Leaf Water to strengthen the skin barrier.

I have now integrated this scentless Teatree ampoule into my everyday routine! I feel as if it makes me skin feel more dewy, supple, and smooth. I’ve also noticed that my makeup sits much better when I use this as a base with my moisturizer!

Took my new sneakers out for a spin! I’ve been opting for comfort when it comes to shoes though I still do occasionally wear heels. I am pretty petite so I look for anything that can give me a boost in height. Platform sneakers tend to be heavy but these are not! I was surprised at just how lightweight these sneakers were even with the ridged rubber platform! I love the color combination and it worked perfectly with this look!

Styling can have a drastic impact on the way you present yourself to the world! I know it may not appear like it however, I feel as if I’ve been really lazy with my outfits. I don’t think I put that much effort into my looks anymore and maybe that’s a good thing! I used to be more flamboyant and my blog certainly documents that. I do prefer more minimalistic and refined pieces now which is perfectly reflected here.

Spent the day in Riverside and visited the Mission Inn! Not much has changed since the last time I was there however, there were some spots that were closed off due to slipping hazards from the rain. Spring weather is unpredictable. It could be blazing hot one day and raining the next. How do I stay prepared… especially when I travel? I bring my favorite raincoat!
