Big plans for this room in 2021 ✨. That wall behind the TV needs some spicing up, and I think some board and batten action may do that. This room in general is a little tough to figure out (even though it may not look like it, the layout is a little odd to work with). But I think that if I switch my mindset from ‘trying to fill the room with more’ to just ‘giving the illusion that there’s more’ going on here, this space will look a little warmer! What do you guys suggest? . Also, some of you may notice that I’ve switched out the rug in this space for the 12,386th time. The “old” one will help with a guest room makeover later in the year and I’m crossing my fingers that this one will stick 🤣. This simple but stylish area rug is from @hookandloom and it’s MACHINE WASHABLE. Our family room leads to the garage and backyard, so I needed something a little easier to keep clean with people (and a dog) coming and going.
