VALENTINES BRUNCH Each year I make a Valentine’s themed brunch spread for my family, of course we do so on a weekend. I love to keep with in theme— pink, red and hearts. This year I made pink Cupid pancake stacks, pink frosted cinnamon rolls, heart bacon, red fruits (berries cut in heart shape), and filled heart ceramic dishes with yogurt. Recipe:
1 Starbucks Blonde pod
1 tsp SF vanilla syrup
1/3-1/2 cup whole milk
1 Tsp brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
1 dash Pumpkin Pie Spice

Brew pod and add vanilla. In the aeroccino add remaining ingredients and use cappuccino setting. Top espresso with milk. Enjoy!

DINING ROOM REVEAL

Over the last few weeks you’ve seen us add greenery, remove shelves, patch and paint, hang photos, disassemble then build a table. Finally the dining room is complete and we’re ready to host Easter in a few short weeks!

We’d had our old table for 10 years and while I wanted a new Pottery barn one, reality set in that I still have young, messy kids and I just don’t want to stress about them ruining an expensive set and want to be sure they can still be kids. This dining set— extending table with leaf built in and 6 chairs— is on sale for $850!! DINING BUFFET REFRESH

About 2 years ago we added shiplap and shelves to the buffet. Regardless of the multiple brackets, the shelves to top heavy to bear much weight and I was ready for a more minimalistic and modern refresh.

When I saw a BOGO on frames last week, I ran to Target for some large matted frames for the area.

You may recall in IG stories that I’d planned to do this project but a while back Ryan shared with me that he missed being involved in the projects; so you will see more of him when it comes to projects going forward. I won’t complain because with 4 hands, I may get more done. 😆

I told y’all that I loved my new olive tree in my bedroom. I truly wasn’t kidding— I bought the 7 foot tree for my living room. Best part is the 6 foot is under $50 and this 7 foot is under $60! Such a steal!

I also love this iRobot Roomba J6 so much! I got it in November during Prime Days and I love that it self empties for about 1 month for my size home. It will clean the whole house, returning to charge and empty the container as needed. I can set a schedule, designate certain areas for the schedule or for a one-time vacuum. It’s also compatible with Alexa. Highly recommend it!

I finally decided to give SHEIN a try. Here’s part of my haul— come shirts, flannel and sweatshirt for my little boy! I’m impressed for the price. The order came within about 1 week and items seemed as photographed. I would definitely recommend checking reviews for sizing and quality related comments, as many items are known to run a tad small.

Last weekend we celebrated, in style, our B-Man turning three with a young, wild and three themed party. He requested that I make cupcakes and cake pops, and I couldn’t resist the smiley face fries— how perfect are they for this theme?! His chocolate face from his cupcake sure takes the cake!

In addition to his desserts and balloon arch, I made the artwork. I’m so impressed with my growing graphic skills!

I cannot believe my sweet boy turns three today. I remember this day three years ago— I was dilated to 5cm at the time of induction and all it took was my doctor breaking my water. Labor was fast and furious. His heart rate dropped with every contraction, and my nurse quickly inverted me and added fluid back to the amniotic sack. Shortly after was go time, but they prefaced emergency c-section was likely if I couldn’t get him out quick. He was out in about 3 minutes, unfortunately with the cord wrapped around his neck. While his labor was wild, he was my easiest baby; but he’s growing wild lately.

I explained to someone recently that having a daughter is like having a mini you and a built in little best friend. Having a son, though, feels like watching your heart walk outside of you. He may be wild but he is still the sweetest thing, always ready with a hug and unprompted “I love you Mommy!” He loves night time stories and morning snuggles, and remains my homebody. Please don’t ever change, Bren!

So today we will celebrate him— Young, Wild & Three!

You may recall but this was our first DIY project in our home, done about 4 years ago. This is our daughter’s room and after we finished our son’s room a few months ago, she asked for a refresh too.

We took a quick holiday break on this project but repainted the entire room, got her a new bed and bedding, and some artwork. Everything is from Target and bedding is on sale!!!

My handy ornament case holds 128 standard 3” ornaments, or in my case held standard, smaller and larger ornaments, my tree topper, ribbon and 2 strands of twinkling lights. I actually stored my ornaments with the hooks all on them which will make next year’s decorating much easier!

I love the case so much, that I’ll be getting a second one for my other trees! I also bought the wreath storage as well and will share it soon! #LTKHoliday
