“I’m not telling you it’s going to be easy, I’m telling you it’s going to be worth it” ✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Lately I have had a lot of people ask me if they should go into medicine. People who have voiced concern about the hardships, the hours, or the lifestyle. People unsure of whether or not medicine would be for them. The answer to that question is not something I can answer for you, but something only you can answer for yourselves. I can tell you that no, it won’t be easy. If it were easy everyone would do it. Yes, it’s going to take a lot of work, and a lot of dedication. You’re going to drink so much caffeine that baristas will know your order by heart. You’re going to miss special occasions with loved ones. You’re going to spend late nights reading until you can’t keep your eyes open anymore. You’re going to wonder what it would be like to be like one of your friends, who already has a job and a normal life. You’re going to wonder how you will ever pay off your loans. You’re going to learn what it feels like to tell someone they have a terminal illness. You’re going to make mistakes. You’re going to question whether or not you made the right decision, multiple times. But after all that wondering, you’re going to graduate medical school, and finish residency, and you’re going to look back and wonder why you ever doubted yourself in the first place. ❤️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ To shop my outfit (and other similar items), download the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and screenshot this photo OR you can shop all of my looks by following me on the LIKEtoKNOW.it app @doctordiaires 👩🏻⚕️ http://liketk.it/2wMAk liketkit @liketoknow.it
