#AD it's time to reveal the transformation of the #dwelloctoberstudio church to condo revival balcony! we teamed up with @Lowe's to convert this underutilized space into an outdoor oasis just in time for spring. all of the products we used are available @Lowe's and prove that it's possible to create a chic outdoor space when working with a limited budget. when designing this space, we were inspired by a neutral striped outdoor rug and used it as the backdrop for a cozy seating area featuring a black metal bistro set. next, we introduced a lot of greenery into the space using cement-look planters filled with an olive tree, rubber tree, as well as a railing planter with boxwoods and candytuft flowers. rattan lanterns and black-and-white geometric throw pillows finish off the space with a cozy feeling. #LowesPartner #dwelloctober #LTKHome
#AD we're excited to kick off a new #dwelloctoberstudio project, a church to condo revival, where we'll be refreshing a historic one bedroom condo in downtown Salem that was originally built as a church. as this renovation is on a tight timeline in order to capitalize on the busy spring real estate market, we're planning to use @Wayfair products for the redesign. @Wayfair has such a wide variety of home improvement products in stock and ships with lightning speed! for this project, we were inspired by a chic Parisian apartment and are planning to use rich, moody colors, dark wood tones, and brass accents. today, we're sharing our design for the bathroom renovation, which will include large format marble-look porcelain wall tile, plum hexagon mosaic floor tile, a dark wood vanity, and brushed brass plumbing and lighting fixtures. stay tuned to see how the renovation turns out! #Wayfair #WayfairPartner #dwelloctober #LTKHome

#AD we're excited to share the finished renovation of the first of two bathroom designs #dwelloctoberstudio is creating as a design challenge featuring brand new @Lowe's products. when designing this bathroom, our goal was to create an elegant space reminiscent of a spa. to accomplish this, we started by selecting a beautiful sea green vanity as the focal point of the design. we paired the vanity with a curved wood mirror and brushed gold transitional wall sconces. the gold is carried throughout the rest of the room, including the plumbing fixtures and accessories, as well as the floor tile, which is a large format porcelain tile with gray and gold veining. we completed the look with simple white subway tile on the walls, a jute rug with a metallic pattern, and a white hydrangea faux flower arrangement to add warmth and sophistication to the room. #LowesPartner #dwelloctober #LTKHome
#AD we're thrilled to reveal the finished renovation of the second bathroom design #dwelloctoberstudio created as a design challenge featuring brand new @Lowe's products. when designing this bathroom, we were inspired by the gorgeous cornflower blue vanity and used this as the focal point of the room. we love its clean lines and classic coastal feel. we paired the vanity with a more organically-shaped wavy gold mirror and a fluted glass and gold sconce. modern brushed nickel plumbing fixtures and bathroom accessories add contrast to the gold finishes, while tying in with the vanity cabinet hardware. both the gold and nickel tones are reflected in the porcelain floor tile with its bold marble-inspired veining. simple white subway tile provides a clean, classic look for the shower walls. a woven jute accent rug with a chevron pattern and a pretty hydrangea floral arrangement add a bit of texture and warmth to the space. #LowesPartner #dwelloctober #LTKHome

located off the main hallway, the guest bathroom at the #preppyhollowhouse was an interior bathroom, meaning that it had no windows and therefore, no natural light. as a result, we aimed to create a bold and bright design full of color in order to give the space a playful personality. we opted for green penny tile on the floors and simple white field tile on the walls, but used coral grout to make a statement. brushed gold plumbing fixtures, a console sink, and a wavy wooden wall mirror give the space a colorful, cheerful feel. #dwelloctoberstay #dwelloctober #LTKHome
while we love a classic blue and white color scheme, one of our favorite tricks is to introduce a third color to keep things from feeling too on the nose. inspired by a beautiful hydrangea print wallpaper from @riflepaperco, we created a custom shade of green paint to use for the trim, doors, and even some of the furniture in the primary bedroom at the #preppyhollowhouse. wide plank white oak hardwood floors and woven wood window shades add natural texture to the space. #dwelloctoberstay #dwelloctober #LTKHome

despite being a foreclosure, this #dwelloctoberrealestate mid-century modern fixer-upper had great bones and was just in need of some TLC. the floor plan flowed really nicely throughout the house and all of the rooms were a great size, so #dwelloctoberstudio kept the original layout exactly the same. in the living room, the old leaking windows were switched out for modern black ones, the wall to wall carpeting was removed, and the original hardwood floors were refinished to showcase their natural beauty. a custom-built wood divider creates separation between the front entry and the living room and accentuates mid-century modern feel. #dwelloctober #LTKhome
sometimes less is more. #dwelloctoberstudio gave this fireplace a makeunder by removing the stone veneer and traditional wood mantel and replacing it with a modern, minimalist dark stone surround. the wood burning fireplace was converted to gas and features ceramic fire spheres. #dwelloctoberrealestate #dwelloctober #LTKhome

our goal with this #dwelloctoberstudio design project was to update a '90s builder grade home with lighter, brighter finishes that had a classic, yet modern feel. the living room was a long, rectangular space that had historically proved challenging to find a cohesive furniture layout. to remedy this, we added custom built-in bookcases and a more substantial mantel to make the fireplace the focal point of the room and create character in the home that looked as if it had always existed. new windows, light oak hardwood floors, and fresh white paint transformed the room into an inviting place to relax and unwind. #dwelloctober #LTKhome
with this #dwelloctoberstudio design project, we made the decision to open up the wall that divided the kitchen and formal dining room and create one large open space for eating and entertaining. the traditional dining table is perfect for family dinners and holiday meals, while the peninsula offers a more casual seating option. stay tuned to see the remodeled kitchen! #dwelloctober #LTKhome
