MINI APPLE ROSE PIES 🍎
Don't let this beautiful fall recipe intimidate you! These mini apple pies are so SIMPLE to make and the perfect recipe for beginner bakers! There's lots of different recipe variations you can follow but below is the one I used. Happy baking!!!
INGREDIENTS:
- 3 large honey crisp apples
- 2 cups water
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- Pepperidge Farm puff pastry
- 1/4 cup butter (salted)
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1-2 tsp cinnamon
- Powder sugar to garnish
STEP 1: Thinly slice apples in 1/8 inch. Place in bowl filled with water & lemon juice. Microwave on high for about 2 minutes or just until slices have softened a bit. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and a kitchen towel.
STEP 2: Spread melted butter over thawed puff pastry dough; top with a generous amount of cinnamon-sugar. Place apple slices along 1 long edge of dough, about 1/4 inch beyond edge of dough, overlapping slices slightly. Fold bottom half of dough over the apple slices to form a long "folder" of dough with rounded edges of apple slices exposed and place in a greased muffin pan.
STEP 3: Bake at 375 for 30-45 minutes or until golden brown. Remove while warm. Let cool on cooling rack and garnish with powdered sugar.
