Skincare over 40 – My current go-to morning routine ✨

Lately I’ve been reaching for a simpler, faster routine—especially on busy mornings when I still want my skin to feel hydrated and put together.

Other than including some of my long-time staples like TIRTIR Milk Skin Toner Light and First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream, I’ve been adding in a couple of newer favorites I’ve been really enjoying.

The Abib Jericho Rose Mist gives instant hydration and helps everything layer better, and the Abib Glutathiosome Dark Spot Serum Vita Drop has been a great lightweight step for brightness and moisture. It creates such a nice base under Beauty of Joseon Day Dew SPF and Typology skin tint, which is exactly what I want in the morning.

As much as I love a full routine, this reminds me that a quick, thoughtful one can be just as effective—and sometimes that’s all you need to start the day feeling good in your skin.

This is my first time trying Abib, and I wanted to test it specifically through an over-40, acne-prone lens. 🙈

As we age, skin needs more hydration and repair—but heavier formulas can easily trigger clogged pores, especially on the cheeks. So I’m introducing everything slowly and paying close attention to texture and layering. 💕

Here’s the order I’m using them:
• Glutathiosome Dark Spot Pad — gentle daily exfoliation + brightening; I use this sparingly to avoid overdoing actives.
• Jericho Rose Mist Serum Glow Spray — a light hydration step when skin feels tight or stressed (less is more).

• Jericho Rose Crème — rich and comforting; best used at night or only on drier areas to avoid congestion.

✨ADHD-friendly mornings that actually feel doable
Life over 40 means I'm starting to really understand myself. From inside to out. With 2026 around the corner, I'm making it a goal to better understand how my never stopping brain works.

I used to joke that my brain runs like an excel sheet with many tabs open at the same time. I often catch myself not being able to fully switch my brain off even at the end of the day.

The worse is when I want to do 10 things at the same time and just find myself pacing in circles because I physically can't decide where to start.

But now that I understand my brain better, and incorporating tangible and repeatable habits, especially in the mornings, made the biggest difference. Not perfect routines… just realistic ones that support how my brain works.

I wanted to share more of this side of me cause its so important to know that we're not alone in the chaos.

If mornings feel hard, it's ok. And I believe talking about it more and making little shifts is truly what's going to help us in the long run. 💛
