How to support floppy hydrangeas in your garden . 🙄 Dreaming of beautiful hydrangeas in your garden? . 🌿 But, don’t enjoy the blooms on the ground! . 🌿 Today, I am showing you how to support your Annabelle hydrangeas . 🌿 Annabelle hydrangeas are known for their enormous blooms . 🌿 But, they are also know for being floppy. . 🌿 Meaning, the weight of these gorgeous blooms can cause the stem to droop and your hydrangea blooms end up on the ground. . 🌿 It taken me a few years to figure out a solution to this gardening problem . 🌿 Today I am showing you how to support your blooms . 🌿 I found these small trellises. . 🌿 They have been the perfect solution! . 🌿 What I love about these trellises: . 🌿 They are sturdy, inexpensive and small. Which make them easy to move and manipulate. . 🌿 I use them in my garden to support hydrangeas, tall perennials like delphiniums and foxgloves. . 🌿 They are also beautiful just as interest in the garden . 🌿 When to add the trellises? . 🌿 Spring is the best time to support your Annabelle before the new growth has started. . 🌿 If you missed this window, no problem! You can also lift up your branches and slide your trellises underneath. . 🌿 An additional bonus with these trellises: You can also add them later in the season to support large blooms . 🌿 How to add your trellises around your Annabelle hydrangea: . 🌿Simply form a double walled circle around your bush. . 🌿 I added 10 trellises around my hydrangea. . 🌿 The hydrangea will grow up, out and through providing great support. . 🌿 Have other varieties of hydrangeas flopping.
