When I got married ten years ago, I was a bride on budget. My wedding was under 12k. Our food was from a Dominican spot, the location was $2k and everything was DIY… oh, and the crew went in a uber to the venue and I got a ride from the photographers. 😂

Point is, my wedding was still beautiful despite it being on a budget. Plus, I had it in Dumbo BK… and y’all know it’s expensive over there. lol So, I thought this look was so beautiful for bride to be on a budget. I definitely would have wore this for a low elegant wedding look. It fits so well and I’m wearing size M in petite.

For each season I buy 2 shirt, 2 bottoms, and 1 outwear item, I’ve been doing this since I had a baby. This was actually my first women’s group therapy, and what an honor. Healing can happen in a group, even if it feels a bit uncomfortable or vulnerable. But here’s the thing: everyone in the group knows about wounds, struggles, trauma, and the reality that sometimes you just need someone to pick you up.

I’m always on the lookout for resources to share with people. Last year, I stumbled upon Sad Girls Club, @sadgirlsclub and I went to their annual event, and when I heard their founder @elyse.fox share about her mission, I knew this was something I wanted to support. I’ve shared their resources here, and now more than ever, I invite you to seek mental health support & tell a friend.

Yesterday, I watched a group of women connect over shared emotions, experiences, and girlhood during our therapy session. It was amazing! And guess what? This group therapy is offered by Sad Girls Club for free. Their “NYA Not Your Average Chat Room” sessions last 45 minutes to an hour and are held virtually on Zoom. You’ll get counseling and recommendations for support services if you’re dealing with mental health issues, communication challenges, or family conflicts.

The facilitators at Sad Girls Club are familiar with the BIPOC and LGBTQ+ communities, so everyone feels safe and seen.

Once you register, you’ll be added to their queue to get updates on open sessions each month.

Another cool thing they offer is therapy scholarships called “Remedy.” These scholarships provide a safe space to cope, express yourself freely, and get guidance without worrying about the cost. You can apply through their website for one.

As a nonprofit that relies on funding and donations, which are incredibly important. They’ve teamed up with @littlewordsproject to create these beautiful bracelets to support your mental health journey. With each purchase, 25% of the profit goes towards their mission. So, go ahead and get them! ✨

Down time at home is our favorite time, and during screen free days the kids usually jump into different activities together or individually. These have been seven activities that are so simple but truly helped us surviving the time when we didn’t have a tv. Now that we do, we still have pretty strict boundaries around screen time, so they always know what are things they can do around the house.

Are you doing more screen free time at home ?

I started baby wearing for me, there was something about wearing my baby that quiet my anxious thoughts. I knew if he was sleeping, breathing, needed to be changed, and it made me feel like I could move around and go places without letting my anxiety get the best of me.

Not enough people talk about the disconnect you can feel from your baby when you’re struggling with postpartum depression and anxiety. I know what it feels like not to want to hold your baby. Or feel overwhelmed by their cries. But the more I wore my son postpartum, the more I felt like motherhood wasn’t as overwhelming.

I went off to have two more babies and I’ve wore them since the day they were born. So though it was so them, it was also for me.

love learning about different carries and testing different ones. @lovesakurabloom sent over their onbuhimo carrier and I’ve been loving using it around the house when my toddler wants to be carried and during city adventures. This kiddo loves to be carried, his joy always gets me.

Bye kid! My bed won’t miss you…. Well, till he tries to climb it at night probably. 😂

This is my second co- sleeping baby that I’m transitioning to a floor bed. We sleep trained our oldest and that was the must stressful thing I ever did, which is why we didn’t do any training with our last two boys. Sleep and kids is one of those things that truly you need to do what’s best for you. I talk to parents a lot and they always sound stress about sleep, and I get it… the lack of sleep will kill you. But really it’s because we have expectations or we see other parents talk about how well their kid sleep and you start to think you must be doing something wrong.

When you do what’s best for your family, it could never be wrong. Just looks different. We heard horror stories about sleep training, and guess what? Did my back hurt ? Yes. Did we have to find other places for sex ? Yes. Did the kid leave our bed eventually? Yes!

Right now we hope it goes well and he does adjust. If not, we will adjust to how we can meet his needs as he gets use to sleeping alone ( like how scary, you’ve been using her foot to feel your mamas body and now she’s gone! Ha) we will be using our @get_nanit to monitor him. & keeping our bed bumper near him.

We can’t wait to add his routine frame from @charmspring , a bookshelf, and some prints. Eventually he will be with the boys soon and we know that’s gonna be another adjustment, but we’ll make it work. ✨

Anyways, this is my favorite hack! I always carry stuff in my bag or leave activities in the car. Carrying the backpack has been a game changer for a while and after a year of carry it everywhere, the boys no longer ask for our phone during outings. During car rides they read books, color, or listen to their audio players. We also love playing “ eye spy” to keep them entertaining are a long rides.

It’s definitely a life saver when we visit homes that aren’t kid friendly and eating at restaurants. So if you’re looking for a way to #screendetox during outdoors, this is a mom hack I recommend. 🫶🏽
