Mealybugs will humble you real quick. If you see white, fuzzy spots on your plant, don’t ignore it. They spread fast, but you can get ahead of it with a simple routine. Here’s the safe spray I use: • 1 quart water, 4 cups • 1/4 teaspoon Dr. Bronner’s peppermint soap Shake gently and spray the entire plant. Get under the leaves, along the stems, and into every crevice. Then wipe the plant down to remove anything left behind. Repeat every 5 to 7 days until they’re gone. For heavier infestations, you’ll need something stronger.
