Love this Free People look for less! Here in the Midwest our temperatures at this time of year can fluctuate so much during the day at this time of year. I am a sucker for a good vest and this one comes in so many good colors! Love the little ties on the side, the cutest detail!

✨WAYS TO UPDATE YOUR HOME: UNDER $100✨

Last week I shared my favorite ways to update a home for free and mentioned I was going to make it a series, so without further ado, let’s get to it! It’s pretty amazing with a small amount of money what you can do and make a big impact!

1) PAINT—okay, I can’t emphasize this enough, PAINT, PAINT, PAINT! A room, a wall, a door, trim, a piece of furniture, the options are endless! Whether you want moody or neutral, bright and bold, or light and airy paint can change the entire vibe of a space. And do everyone a favor and skip the internet. Just pick a color that brings joy (but samples are your friend 🙃)

2) PEEL AND STICK TILE: we used this in our laundry room and it’s still one of my favorite DIYs to date. It literally changes the look of the entire space and is relatively easy to complete! We’ve had ours two years now with zero issues. I’ve seen the backsplash tiles that also look amazing! It’s a great way to test out a look, too, before fully committing.

3) WAINSCOTING/MOULDING: a 4x8 panel of beadboard costs under $25 at Home Depot. We’ve used this in our laundry room and my younger son’s room. It’s a very beginner friendly DIY! Adding a chair rail or frame moulding can also be inexpensive depending how many walls you are completing and on the size of the room.

4) ARTWORK: I love to buy artwork on Etsy or my favorite @collectionprints! I oftentimes buy digital downloads to save on cost and you can have them printed so many places. I prefer to splurge a little more on larger pieces and prefer glicée prints! Thrift frames to save on money or sometimes HomeGoods has really awesome deals, too 🙌🏻

5) STEMS: Swapping out stems can be a fun way to add some color to a space. If you have a black thumb like me 🙃 there are so many faux stems look very realistic. It’s a great way to refresh a space each season, too!

Anything else you would add to this list? Let me know in the comments! 👇🏻

✨HALLOWEEN MINI BOO BASKET✨

Perfect for a teacher, your girlfriend, Halloween host, etc! Comment BOO for links 🔗

These cups are SO cute and come in a pack of two with other icons available. And how fun are these face masks? You could fill with a gift card for coffee, too! I love little gifts like these!

These cute little napkin rings can be used for so many places for styling! Think as a place setting, hanging on a cutting board or on the back of a dining chair! I plan on adding some ribbon to these!

This viral twinkling Christmas tree is viral for a reason! I caved and got it last year and am SO glad I did! I love it. We have the 7.5ft.

It’s fairly thick but not overly sticky! It gives you a very mild tingling sensation and has a slightly minty scent. I have been enjoying how hydrating it is for my lips! More so than any chapstick or lip mask I’ve used!

One of my favorite ways to add a seasonal touch to my spaces is through artwork. I love to buy digital prints and have them printed. It’s a really affordable way to change up your space! Plus, I think it’s a fun way to test out colors and how they feel in a space. Linking all the artwork here and some other favorites! I’ll also include some cute Halloween ones that I’ll probably try to transition over to this week!

Some new holiday finds from Target! Some of these are sold out 😩 but sign up for restock notifications and save the items in this app to get notified first!

Target has some new kitchen and dining finds that are 🔥🔥 I saved so many things to check out!

I have had these for 4 years now and they are still my favorite ornament on my tree! So incredibly pretty and only $15 for a set of 9!

This portable smart TV is 👏🏻👏🏻 we grabbed this last year and have gotten so much use out of it! Also comes with a cover that you can fold back and use as a stand if you want to use as a table top TV or as a monitor for the internet (Just attach a wireless keyboard and you’re in business)! I use this for my workouts too. 🙌🏻 If you’re looking for a splurgeworthy gift, this is it!

My favorite workout options are on sale for Target Circle Week and Amazon Prime Days! I wear these things weekly so I will likely be investing in another pair of leggings and another tee!

I looove these zip up sweatshirts so much I have them in 5 colors! I wear them all fall and winter long. They have a nice thick material that feels really high quality, front pocket, and thumb holes! Bonus—they are on sale!! 🙌🏻

Love these socks! These are a repeat purchase for me. Thicker without being too thick. Lots of color combinations /options!

This dress is sooo pretty! Got so many compliments on it. Stretchy without being clingy. Wearing a size S.

Unfortunately these earrings are a few years old and it doesn’t look like they are sold anymore.

Got so many compliments on this outfit today at all my kids sporting events! This three people look for less comes in lots of colors. I grabbed orange for our high school’s colors!

✨AMAZON THROW PILLOW COVERS✨

If you’re looking for a designer look but at a more affordable price point, there are SO many good options out there. I LOVE pattern play in pillows! It’s a fun way to add in some different elements to the space without it feeling overwhelming.

When choosing throw pillows, typically I choose a general color palette. This could go with the seasons, be neutral, or pull from your room’s color palette. I use some type of solid (usually with a subtle pattern mixed in for extra dimension) and then I’ll typically mix in a simple print and a busier print.

If you’re looking for help with choosing color palettes and styling/sizing, be on the lookout soon for a blog post with my tips and tricks! 🙌🏻

Grabbed this for a little giveaway I’m doing but this scent is to die for! Especially for fall and winter. It’s a really warm, sexy scent. Only $25 for this size and CLEAN ingredients!

#LTKTravel #LTKBeauty

@taymbrown shared this dress last week and it was so pretty I added it to my cart immediately!

Wanted to also mention that this fabric is incredibly soft and comfortable. It’s stretchy so it has some give to it, but it fits so nicely without being too restrictive. Perfect length—would look great with heels or a boot! Just shy of 5’4” for reference. Under $90.

cozy season lover 🍂🤎🍁☕️🕯️

I have really come to love summer more and more since having kids, but there’s something about when the temps drop to the 60s, the windows are open, a candle is going, and being cozied up on the couch with a good book that really hits for me.

My home ✨shines✨ in autumn. I think because I am drawn to such earthy, rich colors she just really comes to life at this time of year. 🍂🤎 Happiest in my home in the fall (but also have the itch to do ALL the projects too 🙃). I love having the windows open, football on, a candle going, and some good soup on the stove. Nothing feels like home in the fall!

When do you enjoy your home the most?!

Just grabbed this table recently on sale and the color is 😍😍👌🏻 The quality is great for the price! It is not a solid wood, but a veneer. But it looks so realistic and doesn’t have any repeated patterns. Love the chunky look of the legs and the edge. It’s hollow inside so it’s still lightweight. This room will change at some point because we don’t love our couch, so this is a great placeholder for now!

Been loving this little purse so much! A couple things I would add to make it better, but still wouldn’t trade it! A great size and the color is 😍😍

#LTKmomlife

Had a meeting and got my hair cut/colored today and this is what I wore! 😍 obsessed with this bubble hem sweatshirt! Have worn it so many times in the last week 🙃 and these Nikes have already gotten so much wear since I got them! Love the brown 🤎

A great Free People look for less! Currently on Lightning deal! 🙌🏻 love how it cinches. Wearing a S! Definitely looks more coral in person (more similar to what it is online). Comes in TONS of colors if you want to get your HS colors (or not)!

#LTKootd #LTKSaleAlert #LTKmomlife

These sweatpants are a couple of years old so I’m linking this years version. I have an XS in this pair!

And these ribbed long sleeve tees are my absolute favorite! I wear them all fall and winter long!

I’m not going to lie, this cabinet doesn’t change much throughout the year. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I love what I have in here and don’t feel the need to constantly rearrange.

My rules for styling shelves:
1) include greenery
2) layer in artwork
3) vary the height of items (could be through books, candles, etc)
4) I like to add something with texture or dimension like woven details, marble, or wood
5) vary the shape of the items—round, rectangular, wide, narrow—each shelf should have some variation and I try to make it balanced overall
5) vary the number of items in the shelves—you don’t want to have a lot on every shelf otherwise it can end up looking cluttered and overwhelming. Also, despite there being many glasses, it is the same type of item so it counts as one. Plus, the clear glasses in this case keep the space from looking overly styled.
6) include something with a nod to the season (here I used artwork and the book open to a page showcasing fall) somewhere throughout the shelves

I’m not quite ready to start adding pumpkins around the house, so I haven’t switched out the artichokes. I love the pop of color right now! This is also our bar cabinet so I included several different types of drinkware and some cocktail recipe books.

I honestly can’t tell you the last time I’ve been inside a Target and not just have been there for a quick second grabbing something we needed last minute! I wanted to go check out some of their fall decor and ended up grabbing a few things! Not going to lie though, their two main drops kind of fell flat for me 🤷🏻‍♀️ but I’ll try and share some of the things in store that I did like!

It’s been a wee minute since I’ve had a non-rushed shopping trip at Target. Being able to stroll the aisles of Target with a coffee in hand is my love language 😍 Found some goodies and lots that was just meh. Will share more of what I found soon!
