I’ll be honest. Matcha was still pretty new to me when I started this. When FKRO sent me their matcha, I wanted to work with it in a way that felt natural to my kitchen. Something thoughtful. Something familiar. A classic tea cake that let the matcha shine without overpowering the moment. I gently infused FKRO’s matcha into warm milk, folded it into a butter-rich pound cake, and finished it with a simple matcha glaze and fresh lemon zest. The result was smooth, balanced, and vibrant.
