A big piece of my heart lives in Honduras. 🩵🤍 My parents were both born on the mainland — my mom from Siguatepeque and my dad from Jutiapa, near Danlí. I was born in NYC, raised in NJ, and somehow life brought me to live in Honduras for a few of my childhood years too. So yeah… Honduras has always been woven into me. 🥹 This was my 3rd time back in Roatán, and every time I come, I’m reminded just how grateful I am to God for these moments and the opportunity to reconnect with a place that feels like home in a different way. 🌴✨ We made it as far as La Ceiba this trip on our way to Cayos Cochinos, where we snorkeled around Cayo Timón 🐠🌊 — but next time? Mainland Honduras, I’m coming for you! There so much more to explore. And I still need to make it to Utila and Guanaja… because apparently one lifetime isn’t enough for all the Honduran islands I want to explore. 🇭🇳 Hasta pronto, Honduras. Ya saben mara, ahí siempre les voy a caer por aya 😜😎
