Hotel Fontenot, part of IHG’s Kimpton brand, is a hotel that recently hosted us just on the outskirts of the French Quarter. IHG no longer publishes an award, however, award searches indicate you can book this boutique hotel with 40,000-65,000 IHG points per night. 🏨 After a recent refresh, Hotel Fontenot is ready for prime time. The hotel is named after Canray Fontenot, a famous Creole French fiddle player. Once inside, you see the attention to detail immediately in the lobby’s decor and guest rooms. Amenities available to guests include an evening happy hour (love this), fitness center, and complimentary bikes to see the city. 🚲 One of the best parts about the property is the on property dining. There’s a coffee shop whipping up fresh beverages just off the lobby called Gospel Coffee. The Peacock Room has you covered for late afternoon grub or dinner. Inside the Peacock Room is one of the coolest bars I’ve seen in a hotel. Staying in my fair share of hotel for work, I can attest this bar is next level. Overall, this is a hotel to book if you find yourself in the Big Easy. ⚜️ Have you visited Hotel Fontenot? What’s your favorite Kimpton property? P.S.
