Marriott is unique with its credit cards in that it partners with both Amex and Chase. Cards like the Marriott Bonvoy Business are issued by Amex. Then you have cards like the Marriott Bonvoy Boundless that are issued by Chase. 💳 The Marriott Bonvoy Business is interesting for several reasons. One, you earn 6x points Marriott. Two, you receive a free night award at a property requiring up to 35k points per night. Three, you receive 15 elite night credits that help to earn higher levels of elite status. 👌🏻 Now, when you’re ready to redeem your Marriott points, here’s where it gets interesting. In terms of high value, you can redeem your points for hotel stays or award flights. It’s important to note that Marriott points transfer to most partners at a 3:1 ratio. You also receive a 5k mile bonus when you transfer 20k Marriott points at a time. ✈️ For award flights, here are examples of what you can book with your Marriott points: - 50k Alaska miles (120k Marriott points) tp book Cathay Pacific business class US to Asia - 60k JAL miles (150k Marriott points) to book Japan Airlines business class US to Asia - 70k American miles (180k Marriott points) to book Etihad business class US to the Middle East - 80k Korean Air miles (195k Marriott points) to book Korean Air first class US to Korea As you can see, Marriott points can be used for both hotel stays and award flights. For award flights, leveraging partners that are otherwise hard to earn miles in is a great way to redeem your miles. 💯 What’s your favorite way to redeem Marriott points? Which airline partners do you like to use? P.S.
