Hi, I’m Alana Moore, founder of The Souza Foundation—a healing village for survivors of domestic violence. This isn’t just a project. It’s my purpose. I met my abuser at 16. Pregnant by 17. Trapped in a 15-year cycle of emotional, physical, and financial abuse. I finally broke free in 2014, raising my kids as a single mother while rebuilding myself piece by piece. In that process, I realized: Survivors don’t return because they want to. They return because they have nowhere else to go. That’s why I’m building a safe haven—on 8 acres in California. Tiny homes. Trauma-informed therapy. Financial literacy. Parenting support. Somatic healing. Real community. Up to two years of stability and care. We are partnering with experts like Dr. Bruce Perry, grounding everything in neuroscience and real-life needs. This is about ending the cycle—for good. Domestic violence isn’t just a personal issue. It’s a public health and systemic justice issue. Let’s stop letting survivors fall through the cracks. Let’s create real, long-term healing. One life. One home. One future at a time. Will you stand with us? Follow. Share. Donate. Be part of the change.
