Days 4 & 5 in Cartagena were all about slowing down and soaking in the rhythm of the city. We spent most of our time wandering between the walled city and Getsemaní, stopping for long lunches, boutique shopping, murals, and sunset drinks. Cartagena is the kind of place where you don’t need a strict plan — the magic is just walking the streets and seeing what you find. One afternoon we explored the colorful murals and music-filled plazas of Getsemaní before dinner at Don Juan and an evening in Plaza de la Trinidad. The next day we took things slower, strolling through the historic center, stopping for coffee, and popping into the beautiful designer boutiques hidden behind the colonial doors. The weather is hot and humid this time of year, so I leaned into lightweight Caribbean dresses that still felt polished enough for dinner and evenings out. Easy pieces you can wear all day from sightseeing to cocktails.
