Squat. Hinge. Push. Pull. Brace. Carry. 
Each one is a full-body experience.
Have you ever thought about practicing the push up so that you will be able to catch yourself when you fall? 

Maybe when we can understand the practical element of the exercise, we can stay motivated to practice, right? 

And if pushups have been a sticking point for you, then consider what your LOWER body is doing during the move. If it’s a full body action, well, look down and make sure the connection is it tact ⛓️‍💥

With a posterior pelvic tilt (yep, you need to squeeze ‘em 🍑), aggressive  adduction and a little smirk on your face, you might become a certain percentage stonger!

This is my birthday month. And I remember when I was on top of the world on my 50th.

That was three years ago, and things changed - again. My second marriage failed, 3 pets passed, my daughter’s future changed, my job began to  disintegrate and so did my body and my confidence. 

And on this birthday month, as I’m peeking up to see the horizon, I’ve made a few changes. 

1.  I surrendered to God’s authority 
2. I made hard decisions to audit my life - the past, present and future. 
3. I buried the dreams that didn’t come to pass and I celebrate the choices that bless me daily
4. I buried myself in education for myself and my clients - because science evolves and strategies for myself and for them do as well
5. I started over 

… again.

You’re not reinventing yourself, your REFINING her. 

Movement, sleep, sunlight, nutrition, accountability and community are what hold this body up. Time won’t wait for you, so jump in and think about your ceiling as a new foundation.

I see this trend with women who are trying to get it back together. 

They choose variety in their workouts, training modalities, menus and effort. 

One thing to consider is repetition. Practice makes progress. Sometimes boredom, monotony can create a new rhythm of consistency. 

I hope this encourages you to stop trying so hard to make it work. Lean into routines and habits that work for you! 

Soon, you’ll have some more bandwidth because your decision fatigue will be tamed. 

This is a short term strategy to help you establish little victories. ❤️
