Did you all know about this?? 🧀 Do you know what’s actually in your pre-shredded cheese? Next time you’re at the grocery, grab that bag and look at the fine print. You aren't just getting cheddar… you’re getting cellulose (which is basically refined wood pulp) and corn or potato starch. Not to mention the mold inhibitors (natamycin). 🤮 Manufacturers literally dust the cheese in that stuff just to keep it from clumping together in the bag. That’s why whenever you try to make a grilled cheese or a mac and cheese, it never gets that perfect, silky melt and sometimes feels a little "grainy." It’s not your cooking, it’s the wood pulp! 🙅‍♀️ I’m not even gonna go into detail but you can imagine eating wood pulp and mold inhibitors is not good for you.😅🫠 Seriously, once you grate your own, you’ll realize what we’ve been missing.
