Valentine’s Day wasn’t about gifts. It was about intention. My husband left early that morning with AJ and Austin and spent hours making sure his wife and his six daughters felt seen, loved, and valued. We didn’t expect it. We weren’t waiting for it. And that made it even more meaningful. Watching him show up, not just for me, but for our girls reminded me why this matters so much. Their first experience of love comes from their father. The way he speaks to them. The way he honors them. The way he shows them that love is thoughtful, consistent, and intentional. I am grateful to God for a husband who continues to grow, who chooses presence, and who leads our home with care. A man who understands that being a husband and a father isn’t about perfection, but about showing up again and again with love. “Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.” Proverbs 31:30
