🌸 Dressed up store-bought hummus flower! Ps- Comment HUMMUS if you want the recipe sent to your DMs & the Spice pen info.

I was inspired by @mackenziebiehl’s viral post showing off her hummus flower. This is my take on the fun idea 🌸

INGREDIENTS

17 oz hummus (I used most of this family size tub)
1 can chickpeas (you’ll use about ⅓ or less of these)
2 oz pomegranate arils
1 ½ tbsp sumac
2 tbsp parsley, chopped
olive oil, to taste
flakey salt, to taste

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Fully dry the chickpeas after rinsing, and spread on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
3. Dress with olive oil and salt, and bake for 20-30 minutes, or until chickpeas are slightly browned and crispy. Set aside to cool.
4. Spread hummus on a platter into petal shapes by starting from the center and spooning towards the edge of the platter.
5. Using the spice pen filled with sumac, draw a floral design along the hummus petals. If you don’t have a spice pen, just sprinkle some on at the center of the petals.
6. Add roasted chickpeas to the center, with pomegranate arils, and parsley. Top with olive oil and flakey salt, and enjoy!

Found them at Target, but they’re also at pavilions, Ralph’s, etc. I checked @instacart to see who’s had them in stock.

I love Thanksgiving, so I go all out when it comes to appetizers. For this recipe, you’ll build a cute turkey out of cheese (did you expect anything less?)!

INGREDIENTS

figs
olive oil
balsamic glaze
parmigiano reggiano
salt (as needed)

INSTRUCTIONS

1. Thinly slice figs lengthwise and arrange them on a platter.
2. Dress with olive oil and balsamic glaze.
3. Shave parmigiano reggiano over and enjoy!

Note: the parm reg is likely salty enough but I like to add a bit of flakey salt on top to bring everything all together.

#LTKHome #LTKStyleTip #LTKSeasonal
INGREDIENTS
* 13 oz brie
* 2 oz blueberry jam
* 4 yogurt covered pretzels
* string cheese
* 16 oz young manchego, sliced evenly lengthwise & height wise into triangles
* 12 oz @columbusmeats Italian Dry Salame
* @columbusmeats Charcuterie Tasting Board (I used the Calabrese Salame, Castelvetrano olives & chocolate covered cranberries from here)
* 10 oz mild cheddar, cubed
* 30 oz dark purple grapes
* 8 dried orange slices

INSTRUCTIONS
1. Place brie in the freezer for 15-20 minutes to allow for easier cutting.
2. For the brie skull, cut wedges out of the sides of the bottom third of the cheese (to make a mushroom-like shape), then carefully slice the brie in half.
3. Using the top half of the brie, use a paring knife to cut out a rectangle for the mouth, a triangle for the nose and circles for both eyes. NOTE: suggest using a small round cookie cutter for the eyes.
4. Use one slice of the manchego to create 5 small square “teeth” to be placed in the mouth after step 5.
5. Dollop blueberry jam on bottom half of brie, then cover with the top half of the brie.
6. Place the manchego teeth in the mouth.
7. Once the skull is assembled, trim and perfect any edges of the skull before placing at the top of your board. NOTE: I took some of the sides off to make it narrower.
8. Place the yogurt covered pretzels under the brie skull to create a neck, then place string cheese directly under that.
9. On each side of the string cheese, layer manchego slices (alternating triangles) into a crescent shape to create the ribcage.
10. Fold the Italian Dry Salame into quarters and line inside of the “manchego ribcage.”
11. line the top edges of the board with Calabrese Salame. Then, fill a ramekin with Castelvetrano olives and another ramekin with chocolate cranberries and place on each side of the board.
12. Decorate the rest of the board with cheddar cubes, grapes and dried oranges. Enjoy!

SAVE this Spooky SKELETON CAPRESE 💀 for Halloween. RECIPE below. Plus the Skeleton molds are linked on my Amazon Storefront (link in bio).

When you’re like me (someone that loves mozzarella + halloween is your favorite holiday), this recipe is a no-brainer to try out. I first saw it on Primal Wellness (https://primalwellness.coach) last year and knew I had to recreate it. In all honestly, the mozerella balls taste a little too ruberry if you pat them too much, so be careful not to overdo it. Next time I might try without patting at all. 💀💀💀

INGREDIENTS

8 ounces mozzarella ciliegine
1 pint cherry tomatoes, halved
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/4 cup basil leaves
Flakey salt

INSTRUCTIONS

1️⃣Preheat the oven to 350ºF and set the silicon molds onto a rimmed baking sheet for stability. Lightly grease the interiors of the skull molds.
2️⃣ Add a ball of mozzarella to each skull cavity. Bake for 6-8 minutes to soften the cheese – it will not melt but will become pliable.
3️⃣ Use a folded paper napkin to press the softened cheese into the molds (the paper towel will absorb the liquid that is released from the mozzarella, which will be more than you think). Press the cheese well into the molds to get a good form, being careful not to burn yourself.
4️⃣ Transfer the molds to the refrigerator and let chill for 8-10 minutes, then remove from the mold and repeat with remaining cheese until all the mozzarella is formed into skulls.
5️⃣ Slice the cherry tomatoes in half and then toss the tomatoes and mozzarella skulls, with the balsamic and olive oil. Scatter basil leaves over top and sprinkle with salt before serving. Enjoy!

SAVE this MUMMY BAKED BRIE & make it for Halloween 🧻.

Full ingredients list on the blog. LINK IN BIO > find recipes on the blog > then scroll down.

DIRECTIONS:
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

Slice of the top ½-inch of brie, and set aside. Spread the jam on the bottom piece of brie. Replace the top of the brie, covering the jam.

Roll the puff pastry out to approximately 14 x 11 inches. Place the brie in the center of the puff pastry. Make two cuts on both long sides of the dough, from the brie to the edges, to create even thirds. Fold the middle piece on each edge over the brie.

Cut ¾”-wide strips into the short sides of the dough, from the brie to the edges. Stretch the strips over top of the brie to create the mummy wrap. Transfer the brie to a parchment lined baking tray.

In a small bowl, whisk the egg with 1 teaspoon of water. Brush the egg wash all over the pastry. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the pastry is golden brown.

Add large edible eyes and serve warm with baguette, apples, pears, grapes, and blueberries, if using.
