Are you like me with sensitivities to just about everything, ladies??? My latest concerns are artificial sweeteners(I already know I’m allergic to Stevia), citric acid (often is still make from mold and is in just about everything processed), potato starch (did you know this is even in shredded cheese)?! And, I usually only use olive oil but I realized seed oils may be in prepared protein drinks or bars. So, yesterday I decided to make my own and it ended up tasting really good cold and blended with ice, too. Hot wasn’t what I was hoping for but I haven’t found the exact setting to get that to work yet. Stay tuned for more experimenting with that one. Reach for the sky🌞 Today, during one of my livestreams I was asked if I stretch. Truthfully, not as often as I should but today I was inspired to do so because of the suggestion. So, here we are. I’m now coming in with a reminder that gentle stretching does a body good but be sure to work with your body and not against it. Lean into what you can do and build from there. I’m a hypermobile gal on the hEDS (Ehlers Danlos) spectrum and I am very cautious when it comes to stretching so I try to just let me body land where it wants to without trying to push it further. Don’t buy the drinks with all the pumps and additives, instead get a simple green tea ( or unsweetened tea of your choice) and add a splash of heavy cream. Walla, it’s so pretty, costs way less money, carbs, calories and additives. If you need to have extra flavor add your favorite electrolyte powder or even lemonade, fuzzy navel or lemon tea protein powder. (Note: you’ll need a shaker for the protein powder so I usually save that for when I’m at home unless I’m prepared and bring my frother.) Better late than never🙏 We enjoyed our EASTER celebrations. We went to church and sat in the front row. Don’t know the last time I sat in the front row at church although I do prefer to sit up front at any gathering than further back. But, I realized that I missed out on seeing everything that was going on behind me ( which is really funny if you know me cause I REALLY like to people watch and say hi to friends.) We spent the afternoon with family and had a lovely time just sharing life. I made a crustless ham and Gouda quiche to bring for everyone to share and also ensured I had food I could eat that was free from my 26 food allergens. I was really hoping those would have been dissipated by now with the weightloss, improved health and glp1 improving so many internal systems but not yet. I made it through the 40 days of lent without any processed foods(beyond my daily protein drink and protein bar) and grains and my scale dropped by 10 lbs. On Easter, I enjoyed a slice of @katzglutenfree marble loaf for breakfast and @katzglutenfree chocolate zucchini muffin with my lunch. The gluten free chocolate zucchini muffins are so easy to take with you cause they are individually wrapped👏 The marble loaf brings me right back to NYC and I just love the taste and texture.[ NoTE: I tagged them for you to shop directly on this post as part of the the new features being rolled out here on @instagram ] How did you spend your Sunday? Vulnerable Post I look a wreck but Day 1 starts now! Taking advantage of the Fire Horse energy that begins today. Plus, starting the @stanforcreators "Dare to Post " challenge for 30 days. You know i usually like to bring good news usually but THIS is how health journeys (& life) go. Nothing is linear. Not weight loss success, entrepreneurship, marriage, raising children, friendship, nor content creation. Yes, I am up 9 pounds of inflammation since Feb 1st when I took my last shot.💉 Here's why ~ I decided to act like a normal person (well, at least a gluten free person) who goes all the places and eats all the things. A person who actually here's about a new food and actually tries it or just gets something they think about. I drove to the store and bought the new Gluten Free Cheez Its. While I was there, I remembered someone told me about the Gluten Free Oreos and Gluten Free Chips of Hoy. So, I got those, too. All knowing that today I would be getting back to non processed foods for the next 40 days as my start. I'm glad I tried them all cause now I feel like i am in the know and I can give my honest opinion and review in service to my gluten free community and food allergy friends. What I can say I learned is that my metabolic, MCAS, food allergy, lipedema system has not magically corrected itself yet but I am hoping that making this change back to whole foods and also adding concerted movement will free up my system to operate more freely and with more ease.
