I have the best skin of my life at 47. Here’s what actually works. And before anyone asks, it’s not one miracle product, botox, one facial or genetics. It’s the boring, every day habits you do consistently.

If you want genuinely good skin, excellent skin quality, a glow, firmness and even tone, this is what I do. Repeatedly
1️⃣ Retinol a few times a week. Find one that’s around 0.3% and formulated with barrier supporting ingredients. It’s still one of the best things you can do for collagen support and texture.
2️⃣ Peptides (especially with red light)
Peptides are a big part of keeping my skin looking bouncy and healthy. I use them as barrier support + long-term firmness support.
3️⃣ LED red light
This is one of those “long-term habits” that adds up. Less inflammation, faster healing, better skin over time. It’s my number 1 really.
4️⃣ Microneedling but only in clinic
I’ll never do it at home. Done properly, it’s one of the best treatments for texture, pores and collagen.
5️⃣ Lymphatic drainage + facial massage / gua sha. This is what you’re seeing here.Most of the time when we say we look “puffy” or “tired”, it’s fluid retention + tension. Massage makes a visible difference to shape, glow and firmness. I do it for my jaw, cheeks and forehead especially.
6️⃣ Collagen daily. I don’t skip it. Ageing is collagen breakdown, so for me this is part of the long game.
7️⃣ Lifestyle (the one nobody wants to hear) Sleep, stress, alcohol, blood sugar spikes… all of it shows up on your face. You can’t skincare your way out of inflammation.

These are the things I wish I’d understood sooner about hormones. They don’t just sort themselves out, they respond to how you eat, how you sleep, how stressed your nervous system is and how consistently you look after yourself.

For me, focusing on these basics changed everything. I had better energy, calmer moods, more stable weirdos, less inflammation, clearer skin and just feeling like myself day to day, not just on “good weeks”

This is not extreme, and they’re definitely not quick fixes. But, it’s important to remember that supporting your body properly, and doing them consistently will help it settle over time.

These are the things I never travel without. They’re just non-negotiable at this point. I know it looks like I’m running a mobile apothecary, but when something actually makes a difference to how I feel, it earns a permanent place in my bag.

One day I’ll stop decanting all the different powders and build one formula that does what I need it to do. It would make my life a lot easier, and probably yours too. But here we are. Let’s see what 2026 brings 👀

People always ask how my skin is this clear at 47… and honestly, it’s not “one product,” it’s a morning routine I’ve built over years.

I treat my face the same way I treat my health, consistency, ingredients that actually do something, and a bit of science behind every step.

From peptides and vitamin C, to omegas and SPF, it’s not quick, but it works. My routine takes less time than scrolling TikTok, and it’s a lot more useful.

The ten minute drain and smooth body routine I have been doing every morning

Using the Clarins body scrub in the shower which leave your skin so smooth and even, buffing out bumps and dry skin. Then when my skins still damp I go in with the renew plus body serum, It's packed with hyaluronic acid & Plant extract so it hydrates deeper and keeps everything looking smooth as well as smelling great. I then finish with my wood tool, this helps so much with water retention and just keeps my legs looking tight.
