been very in the holiday spirit this year, so figured i’d diy a hogwarts great hall hallway — floating candles & all! i wanted a fun little touch in our home for christmas that was entertaining for the kids, but obviously nostalgic to those early harry potter days for us 🌲🌲

i’m absolutely obsessed with these floating candles, they just add so much magic at night (and equally as fun during the day).

so if you need me, you’ll find me here — creating magical, cozy corners in my house!!!!!!!!

where I’ve been hibernating 🖤 as much as I love creating content, I truly feel so fulfilled when making music and composing. been working on some fun things lately (hard drives literally taking over our desk!!!) but until I share, here’s a look at our moody music studio we renovated earlier this year! 🎧🖤🪩✨

it’s so wild to imagine this as a once dingy basement room to now a vibey + eclectic space! still no regrets with the bold colour choice either, we’re so obsessed, we think everyone should colour drench a room black at some point 🤪

DIY AGED BRASS MIRROR 🪞✨

dusted off my old vanity mirror and turned it into this aged brass looking masterpiece using only @rustoleumca spray paint and @amacobrent rub n buff!

this vintage @ikeacanada mirror is super heavy and really felt like good quality, but the colour just wasn’t working for where I envisioned it! I tried thrifting and even looking in stores but the price tags were STEEEEP and defs didn’t compare in quality! so I figured I could do this simple DIY and transform this old mirror into an aged brass mirror on a budget!!! defs anthropologie inspired ✨✨✨

I can’t wait to show you what room this is going in, any guesses?????

we’ve added more to the room + walls including a custom guitar, a thrifted aesthetic rattan hot air balloon, and one of my most treasured possessions, a limited edition print from @minalimadesign! I got this print YEARS ago and always knew I wanted to frame it and put it somewhere special. After going to london last summer and actually visiting the minalima gallery in person with our son, I figured there was no better place to add a touch of my fav series into this playroom for that extra magical touch! ✨🐉

we spend so much time in here, and I’m so happy with how this neutral, montessori-inspired playroom turned out!

✧ deodorant: obsessed with this @hatchgal all natural, mineral-enriched mama-safe deodorant! It smells amazing, and honestly lasts SO long! This is one of many hatch products I love and continued using even while I was breastfeeding! 🦋

✧ app: did you know there’s a lot of cosmetics and skincare you can’t use while pregnant! Once you have @littlebeanapp, the guessing game is over! It lists all the ingredients you should avoid, as well as lets you scan your products to see if they’re risk-free to use during your pregnancy! 🎀

✧ prenatal vitamins: I bought these @solgar prenatals with my first pregnancy in croatia, and I re-purchased for this pregnancy! They’re vegan, come in an amber glass (not plastic yay!) and approved by my homeopath for having all the essentials you and your baby need during the 9 months! 🤎

✧ belly oil: there is no better belly oil out there! I said it! my sister got me a bunch of @hatchgal goodies for my last pregnancy, and honestly this is one of my absolute FAVS! not only does it smell delicious, but it dries quickly (so you don’t have to walk around all greasy) but hydrates SO well! I literally have zero stretch marks! 🎀

✧ pregnancy book: I read a lot of books during my first pregnancy, but none deserves a mention more than nurture by @ericachidi. written by a birth and postpartum doula, this book truly lives up to its title of being a modern guide to pregnancy, birth, early motherhood and trusting yourself and your body! I actually heard about this book through @kalynnicholson13! I love that it also includes diy remedies, recipes, meditations, journal prompts — you name it! 🤎

✧ raspberry leaf tea: as we’re approaching my due date, I’ll definitely be making my daily @tradmedicinals tea! red raspberry leaf tea helps reduce nausea, aids in labour & delivery, strengthens & tones your uterus and reduces the risk of postpartum hemorrhage! pro tip: if you’re not a fan of the taste, simply add in some lemon or honey! I like to keep mine in the fridge as an iced tea! 🌿

✧ moisturizer: i’m absolutely obsessed with this one from @biobaza I got in Croatia for my last pregnancy! This cream is SO moisturizing, and perfect for these colder months, so my skin feels nourished and hydrated! 🧴

✧ workout gear: while pregnancy is not the time to be starting new workouts, I highly recommend these wrist/ankle weights from @bala! these bala bangles come in 1, 2 and 3lb variations, and they’re perfect to add to your yoga routines, core exercises or even walking! 💪

✧ balm: surprise surprise, i’m sharing another @hatchgal product! this nipple and lip rescue balm is SO soothing, and hydrates so well! definitely a staple that I keep in my nightstand! 🍯

this week’s micro habit? getting dressed. like, actually putting on something other than sweats and a tee 🤪 even though we were down baddd with sickness this week, I triiiiieddd to get out of living in the same outfit 24/7 lol.
