Your suboccipitals are a group of muscles that can cause a multitude of problems such as neck pain, headaches, migraines, and dizziness.

Although posture and desk setup is very important in reducing suboccipital overuse it’s just about impossible to keep good posture ALL day long.

Due to this, you may need a little help to reduce your pain and discomfort and this tool is my personal favorite!

Your foot pain may be coming from your calf! 🤯 ⬇️

Did you know the fascia on the bottom of your foot is inter-continuous with the fascia of your calf?

So what this means is if your calf is extra tight it can cause increased tension in your foot!

The best way I have found to release the calf is with the @gochirp RPM massager.

It’s like a foam roller and massage gun all in one!

It does the work for you and gets deeper than a regular foam roller does, helping to get you results even faster! 🤗🤗

But! Once we have released your calf we don’t want to just stop there…

…we need to fix the reason the calf got tight in the first place! (Aka get to the root cause)

Oftentimes, calf overuse comes from underuse of your hamstrings of glutes.

Your low back pain may actually be due to tightness in your inner thigh! 🤔🤯

Low back pain towards one side can often come from a muscle called your Quadratus Lumborum (QL), which attaches to the top of your pelvic bone.

Your inner thigh (adductor muscle) attaches to the bottom of that same bone.

So if your inner thigh is too tight, too weak, working overtime OR working inefficiently it can affect the position of your pelvis ultimately causing dysfunction and pain in your QL!

One simple thing I have found to relieve tightness in the inner thigh and ultimately decrease tension in your QL is foam rolling.

But remember, everyone’s body is different so some people may need to increase strength in their adductor as well.

If you have stubborn low back pain it may be time to look at your glutes!

Your glute max is a very important muscle for stabilizing your low back but if you have too much tension or if the muscle is too short this can actually *contribute* to your low back pain.

Give these 2 exercises a try to loosen up your glutes and help improve the position of your pelvis!
