Linked my kids’ current favorite books!

I’m not anti-technology. And I’m certainly not here to tell another parent how to raise their kids.

But I do know mine…

And if they had a screen in their hands every time we got in the car, I’m pretty confident those books wouldn’t be getting nearly as much attention.

Not every car ride looks like this. Sometimes it’s chaos, arguing, or asking how much longer until we get there.

But I love seeing what they choose when there’s room for something else.

Sometimes it’s a book. Sometimes it’s a conversation. Sometimes it’s just being bored.

And I think there’s something really good about that.

Here’s the thing, though. Not all of my kids are naturally readers. That 13-year-old? She’s fought reading practically her entire life. But she FINALLY found a series that sucked her in, and now I can’t get her to put it down.

And I think that’s what I’m getting at.

Sometimes we have to give our kids enough space to discover the things they don’t even know they’ll love yet.

And sometimes that means letting them be bored. Letting the car ride be quiet. Letting them figure out how to entertain themselves.

We talk a lot in our house about how choosing one thing often means missing out on something else. Screens aren’t inherently bad, but they can certainly crowd out other things.

So no, this isn’t a post about why kids shouldn’t have phones.

It’s just a little reminder that sometimes what our kids need isn’t more entertainment.

It’s room to discover something else. 🤍

My favorite sunnies part of Amazon prime day sale!

My favorite hobby is 50% off clearance (pssst it’s happening again with these balloon pants!!). For when you want to be dressed but surprise- you’re fantastically comfortable 👏🏼🥰 also jewelry is 25% off prime day sale!

Yesterday OOTD and skirt 50% off clearance!!! Still multiple color ways available. Obsessed with this or the orange…. But will take the blue please too!!

Apparently I have VERY strong opinions about kitchen tools 😂 | Part 1 of 3
Check out the whole list of my favorite tools (& the ones that flopped in case you think you need those too!).

You definitely don’t need more stuff in your kitchen- but the right little tools can make feeding your people so much easier.

These are the things that have actually earned their spot in my drawers because I reach for them over and over and over again. Nothing fancy, just practical things that make cooking, prepping, and feeding a family of eight a little less work. And also sharing the flops and the ones that can probably leave but I have hoarder tendencies and I need to mentally prepare ok…

And apparently I had enough to say about them that one reel turned into THREE… 😅

Save this one for the next time you’re wondering, “Do I actually need that?”
Part 2 coming next. 👀 what’s your favorite kitchen gadget?

Twenty minutes and my whole week runs smoother. And by my I mean ours, but less stress for the family means less stress for me 🙃

The prep section of my guide might be one of my favorite parts because this is where the plan actually starts making your week easier.

I’m not talking about spending hours batch cooking on Sunday.

I mean:
washing produce before you need it,
chopping a few things ahead,
making extra when something freezes well,
and using those random 15–20 minute pockets of time to take one task off your future plate.

Tiny bits of prep add up to a much calmer week.

I packed this section of the guide with practical ideas for what’s actually worth prepping, what freezes well, and the little things that save me the most time when life gets busy.

Because sometimes the best meal prep isn’t making the whole meal- it’s just making dinner easier to start.

If you are tired of feeding your family feeling like an emergency, follow along to get the guide! It’s ready soon and the first to buy will get it at a discounted rate 👏🏼

OOTD for the first day in I think forever it didn’t rain!!! I saw the SUN.

#LTKgrwm #LTKdayinmylife #LTKootd

Yesterdays outfit. A track suit is an obvious yes!

#LTKgrwm #LTKmomlife #LTKdayinmylife

Arm day and my tank is still 50% off (in many color ways!!) AND the sun is out for the first time in weeks so it has to be a good day!!

Apparently my favorite decorating style is “five minutes before I have to leave.” 😂🍂 or is that because that’s all I have time for? Regardless…

It’s officially the first day of fall, which obviously meant the front door needed a little seasonal intervention before preschool pickup.

A basket I already had, a whole lot of faux stems, and just enough time pressure to make me wildly productive. ADHD at its finest. And honestly, I think she turned out pretty cute. 🤎

Comment “FALL” and I’ll send you the links! 🍁

Found these incredible split flare jeans on sale for nearly half off!! Found similar sweaters which is honestly the most perfect fall pick. Sub in cute flats for fuzzy socks because this rain and the chill in the air…

You will not guess where I got these track pants from!! Only $21 and I’m not kidding… no lie, I had my eye on a similar pair for almost $200 so I couldn’t get these home fast enough!!

I’m officially calling these Dump Egg Cups because I quite literally dumped in everything that needed to be used from my refrigerator… and somehow created one of the best breakfasts I’ve made. 😂

Roasted potatoes, zucchini, squash, cottage cheese, cheddar, and eggs—all baked together into fluffy little cups that are packed with protein, vegetables, and flavor.

The best part? There’s no exact recipe required (but because I love you, recipe below 😘). Honestly, use whatever vegetables, meat, cheese, or leftovers you already have. It’s less food waste, an easy breakfast for busy mornings, and they’re freezer-friendly- I’m officially calling these Dump Egg Cups because I quite literally dumped in everything that needed to be used from my refrigerator… and somehow created one of the best breakfasts I’ve made. 😂

High-end look, Target price point. 🤌🏼

One of my favorite places to source art when I need something beautiful, affordable, and- most importantly-actually available.

Target has been quietly killing it with art lately. Great scale, great texture, pieces that feel collected instead of generic, and you don’t have to wait 8–12 weeks for them to arrive. And it doesn’t cost a bazillion dollars.

Proof that finishing a room well doesn’t always mean spending a fortune.

Save this for the next time you’re staring at a blank wall and don’t know where to start. Comment ART for some of my favorite finds!
