Sheets day 🫶🏻 And since I was making the bed anyway, I figured I’d share the bedding we actually use and love.

We have the Casper adjustable bed with two twin mattresses, Casper sheets, Casper pillows, and the Casper headboard. Everything is so comfortable, and the sheets are that really soft, cozy feeling without being jersey material—which I personally love.

Teasing 101 ✨ Fine-Hair Volume Tutorial

If your hair falls flat after teasing, the technique matters.

For this look, I used:

* A rat-tail comb for controlled teasing
* Color Wow Texas Hold’Em hairspray to lock in the tease
* A little time to let it set
* More hairspray to finish and hold everything in place

The key is controlled teasing instead of randomly backcombing the hair, then smoothing the surface once the volume is set.

My full Tutorial Tuesday video is coming tomorrow, but you can shop everything I used here. 🤍

FAKE FALL: Five Foot Girly Edition 🍂

It’s September, so apparently it’s fall. 😂

Meanwhile… it’s still 90° outside.

So instead of pretending it’s sweater weather, I’m starting with the easiest fall transition piece: dark denim.

Dark denim instantly makes an outfit feel a little more fall without adding another layer—and for my fellow petite girls, it’s an easy way to start transitioning your wardrobe while the weather catches up.

This is look 1 of my Fake Fall: Five Foot Girly Edition—petite-friendly ways to bring in the feeling of fall while still dressing for the weather we actually have.

Because fall is a feeling.
It doesn’t always have to be a sweater. 🤎

5’0” and looking for a formal dress that doesn’t swallow you? 💙

This one is stunning — a floor-length wedding guest dress that actually works on my 5’0” petite frame without looking overwhelming.

Perfect for weddings, fall formals, galas, homecoming, or any elevated party/soirée where you want to feel dressed up. ✨

True to size — I’m wearing my usual size.

I paired it with Sam Edelman heels + chandelier earrings for that extra little bit of sparkle.

The casual-adjacent black dress you didn't know you needed. And yes, it has pockets! 🖤
This Target mini dress hits above the knee on my 5'0" frame, making it such a cute option for my petite girls. Add booties for that fall feel and a tweed jacket you can easily take off when it's still 90° outside.
Fall vibes without the heavy layers! 🍂

This puff sleeve top is the perfect piece to take you from summer into fall. Pair it with denim now, then layer it with a cardigan or lightweight jacket as the weather cools down. The feminine sleeves make even a simple outfit feel polished.

✨ Sizing note: This top runs big, so I recommend sizing down for the best fit.

I’ve linked my top and the rest of my outfit so you can recreate the look. It’s an easy option for everyday outfits, casual weekends, date nights, and all those in-between weather days.

Three little contour tricks that make a BIG difference 🤍

If contouring feels like one more makeup step you don’t have time for, try getting more out of the product you already have.

🤍 Use your contour shade as a crease color for a little extra definition.
🤍 Add a touch just above the brow to create the illusion of a more lifted-looking face.
🤍 Use a contour stick for your nose — the shape makes it so much easier to place a slim, controlled line.

One product, three ways to make your makeup work a little harder. 🤍

I linked the Morphe contour stick I’m using here.

The little things that make an outfit 🤍

I’ve been reaching for this Kendra Scott necklace constantly. It’s lightweight, classic, and one of those easy pieces that works with pretty much everything in my closet. Add a few bracelets and suddenly the simplest outfit feels a little more pulled together.
*select Kendra Scott pieces are 2 for $80.

FAKE FALL 🍂 | 5’0 GIRLY EDITION — Part 3

How do you make an outfit feel like fall when it’s still 90° outside? Change the color palette, not the footwear. 😉

These Universal Thread wide-leg jeans from Target are doing the heavy lifting here. They’re not technically petite, but with a heel they work beautifully on my 5’0 frame. They run big, so size down one size.

The knit top is an oldie but a goodie, and I added my Kendra Scott A necklace for a little something extra.

And yes, I went with open-toe Sam Edelman heels because we’re in the South and it’s still hot as Hades. 😂 No need to pretend it’s bootie weather yet.

Sometimes Fake Fall is just darker denim, a little knit texture, and calling it a day. 🤎

5’0” petite-friendly length 🤍

A “midi” that reads more like a maxi on me

And it comes in multiple colors 🤍

Wedding guest season = solved

The kind of dress you can wear to
weddings all year long

🤍

Satin + navy = such a pretty wedding guest combo

Paired it with Sam Edelman block heels. They are my go to for date nights and weddings. Extremely comfortable for a heel.

Dirty hair, but make it look intentional. 😂✨

I shared a little peek on Instagram today of my “my hair is dirty and I need to get ready” situation… and this is the other way I love to revive it when I don’t have time (or don’t want) to wash it.

My quick dirty-hair refresh:

✨ K18 AirWash Dry Shampoo — this is what I’ve been reaching for when my roots need a refresh without adding a ton of buildup.

✨ Dyson + round brush attachment — I use this to smooth things out and bring the volume back. You absolutely do NOT need a Dyson for this, though! I linked a few more budget-friendly options below.

✨ Drybar Velcro Rollers — these are my secret weapon for getting some of that volume back at the crown and giving the hair a little more shape.

✨ Color Wow Style on Steroids — adds texture and helps give freshly revived hair some grip and body.

✨ Color Wow Texas Hold ’Em — my finishing hairspray when I want everything to actually stay put.

And yes… the outfit is just an Old Navy tank + jeans because sometimes the hair gets the main-character treatment while the outfit stays VERY casual. 😂

I linked everything I’m wearing/using, plus a few alternatives so you can recreate the routine without needing every single product I use.

Budget-friendly alternatives I linked:
• A more affordable hot-air/round-brush option
• A more affordable multi-styler option
• An alternative Velcro roller set

Because good hair days shouldn’t require a $600 tool. 🤍

Fall outfit for now 🤎🩵

This Walmart dress is giving fall vibes without the fall temperatures 🍂☀️

✨ Petite-friendly — I’m 5’0” and it hits above the knee
✨ Available in this light blue + light pink
✨ Wedges + my LV Speedy for an easy elevated look
✨ And when it actually cools down? Add a cardigan and you’re ready for fall.

Basically: one dress, two seasons.

Need a formal dress that looks expensive without actually costing $200+?

The Petal & Pup Vienna dress is currently $67 at Nordstrom — and it’s one of those dresses you can pull out for multiple occasions: a gala, formal wedding, sorority formal, or any event where you need to be actually dressed up.

It’s also petite friendly, which is always a win for me.

It runs true to size, but if you’re between sizes, I’d go up.

And these Sam Edelman block heels? My favorite kind of wedding shoe — dressy enough for the occasion without requiring you to sacrifice your feet.

I linked the dress + shoes on LTK. 🤍

Fake Fall, but make it actually wearable in this heat. 🤎

This polka-dot No Boundaries dress is true to size + VERY petite friendly — no overwhelming maxi situation over here.

Wear it now with wedges, then swap in cowboy boots for a concert or girls’ night when you want a little more fall energy.

Finished it with my round Karen Walker sunnies + this taupe Kate Spade bag that genuinely goes with everything.

Fine hair girls: DON’T WASH IT. REVIVE IT. 🤍

When my fine, oily hair starts looking flat, I’d rather bring it back to life than wash and restyle it all over again.

My routine:

🤍 K18 Dry Shampoo — start at the roots to absorb oil
🤍 Color Wow Texture Spray — adds grip and texture
🤍 Color Wow Texas Hold’em Hairspray — helps everything hold
🤍 Dyson + round brush attachment — blow it back into shape
🤍 Drybar Velcro Rollers — set the volume and let them cool

The key for me is product first, rollers second. That gives my fine hair something to hold onto instead of just hoping the rollers create volume on their own.

Wide-leg jeans when you’re 5’0”? YES. 🤍

These Universal Thread wide-leg jeans aren’t petite, but they work on my 5’0” frame — just add heels. I sized down because they run a little big, and with the extra length + heels, they hit just right.

The sleeveless knit sweater adds a little texture and gives the outfit that fall feel without making it too heavy.

The details:
🤍 Universal Thread wide-leg jeans — sized down
🤍 Sam Edelman block heels — true to size
🤍 Sleeveless knit sweater — adds the perfect bit of texture

Coffee runs, errands, and everyday moments call for outfits that are both comfortable and cute. ☕🍂

Fake Fall 🍂 — 5’0 Girly Edition, Part 2

If we’re calling it fall in September, I’m going to need dresses that actually work for 90°+ weather. 😂

This Walmart find checks the boxes: a rich fall color, lightweight enough for warmer weather, and shorts built right underneath. And at 5’0, it hits above the knee without needing to be hemmed. Five Foot Approved ✔️

I paired it with wedges here, but honestly, this is the kind of dress that can easily go casual or dressier depending on the shoes.

Sometimes getting into the fall mood is as simple as choosing the right fall-toned pieces. 🤎

Face-framing styling.

How to Get the Perfect Face-Framing Curls on Short Hair

If your face-framing pieces never seem to fall quite right, this simple curling technique makes all the difference. I use a small curling iron, set each curl with clips while it cools, then finish with a lightweight texture spray for soft movement and lasting volume.

One of my favorite ways to make an outfit feel more fall without adding heavy layers: change the color palette. 🤎

Black wide-leg denim + a knit top gives you that seasonal feel without sacrificing comfort when it’s still warm outside.

These Universal Thread jeans from Target aren’t technically petite, but they work on my 5’0 frame with a heel. They run big, so I recommend sizing down one.

And yes, I went with open-toe heels because it’s still absolutely not bootie weather here. 😂

Petite-friendly + actually easy to style 🖤

This dress runs big, so I recommend sizing down. I’m wearing an XS and it hits above the knee on my 5’0 frame.

I styled it with a lightweight black tweed blazer + Marc Fisher pointy-toe booties for an easy polished fall look without going full sweater weather. 😉

The wide-leg jeans I keep reaching for lately 🤍

These are an easy, everyday pair that look cute with everything from a simple tank to a sweater or blouse. And for my petites, I love the length with a little heel.

Fit note: these run big, so I’d recommend sizing down.

✨ Petite-friendly holiday dress ✨

The Strapless Vienna Midi Dress is one of those dresses that can take you from holiday parties to weddings, date nights, and all the dressier events on your calendar. ❤️

And if you’re petite, pay attention to the length: while this is technically a midi dress, on my 5’0 frame it fits much more like a long dress. So if you’re petite and usually struggle with midi dresses hitting at an awkward spot, this one is worth a look.

The strapless neckline keeps it classic and feminine, while the longer length makes it feel especially elevated.

As I transition into fall routines, I’m sharing the NYX Brow Gel that has quickly become a favorite. I love how it keeps my brows looking polished and put together without feeling heavy.

Also linking this easy everyday outfit because a black square neck bodysuit and Levi’s jeans are such a classic combination. The bodysuit runs true to size and is a piece I’ll keep reaching for.

A little black dress that’s doing the work for me. 🖤

This Target A New Day smocked mini A-line dress is petite approved and such an easy piece for transitioning from summer into fall. The smocked bodice gives it a little shape, it has POCKETS (always a win), and the mini length works especially well on my 5’0 frame.

I added a Chanel-inspired jacket for a little structure, my pointy-toe Mark Fisher booties to help elongate the legs, and my Kate Spade taupe bag to keep the look from feeling too dark.

And because it’s on sale right now… 👀

It also comes in maroon polka dot and white/maroon stripe if black isn’t your thing.
