Teasing 101 ✨ Fine-Hair Volume Tutorial

If your hair falls flat after teasing, the technique matters.

For this look, I used:

* A rat-tail comb for controlled teasing
* Color Wow Texas Hold’Em hairspray to lock in the tease
* A little time to let it set
* More hairspray to finish and hold everything in place

The key is controlled teasing instead of randomly backcombing the hair, then smoothing the surface once the volume is set.

Our actual bed setup because apparently the kids think Mom & Dad have the best bed in the house. 😂🤎

We have the Casper Snow mattress + adjustable base, and I genuinely love our setup. The adjustable base is one of those things I didn’t know I needed until I had it — especially because I can raise the bed without accidentally knocking everything off Manny’s nightstand. 😂

We also have the Casper cooling pillows, and they’re currently $42 (regularly $65), which is a really good deal.

And if you’re investing in a nice mattress, I HIGHLY recommend a good mattress protector. We have the Casper waterproof mattress protector, and it’s currently $107 instead of $119. Think of it as protecting the investment you just made in your mattress.

We also have the Casper Percale Sheet Set on our bed and the kids’ beds. They’re not on sale right now, but we love them enough that we bought them for all of our beds. They’re definitely more of an investment, but they’re so comfortable.

These Universal Thread wide-leg jeans from Target are doing the heavy lifting here. They’re not technically petite, but with a heel they work beautifully on my 5’0 frame. They run big, so size down one size.

The knit top is an oldie but a goodie, and I added my Kendra Scott A necklace for a little something extra.

And yes, I went with open-toe Sam Edelman heels because we’re in the South and it’s still hot as Hades. 😂 No need to pretend it’s bootie weather yet.

Sometimes Fake Fall is just darker denim, a little knit texture, and calling it a day. 🤎
