Ice
 
Directions:
 
Into the jam jar add the vanilla vodka, lemon juice, simple syrup, and ice. 
 
Shake well until chilled and fully combined.
 
Strain directly from the jar into a coupe glass for a smoother, elevated presentation or sip it straight from the jar for a more casual vibe!

These maple dijon ham & cheese sandwiches are the kind you’ll crave long after Easter! Save this recipe for your holiday ham leftovers. 🍖🧀🐣

Ingredients
8 slices of @stonehousebread sourdough
8 slices ham
8 thin slices Swiss cheese (2 per sandwich)
1/2 cup mayo (I like @dukes_mayonnaise )
3 tablespoons dijon mustard
3 tablespoons maple syrup
Everything bagel seasoning 
Preheat oven to 350°F

In a small bowl mix mayo, dijon, and maple syrup until smooth.

Spread the maple dijon mayo on the inside of each slice of bread.

Layer ham and 2 slices of Swiss cheese per sandwich.

Spread a layer of the maple dijon mayo on the outside of the bread and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.

Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, remove the foil and bake for 10 additional minutes, and broil until the top of the sandwiches get crispy about 4-5 minutes. Enjoy!

Ham & Gruyère Breakfast Strata

A rich, savory breakfast bake layered with 
@stonehousebread sourdough, ham, and gruyère cheese for an elevated Easter brunch.

Ingredients

3 cups @stonehousebread sourdough, cubed
1 1/2 cups diced ham
1 1/2 cups shredded gruyère cheese
5 eggs
2 cups milk
2 teaspoons dijon mustard
1 small shallot, finely diced 
Salt and pepper (to taste)
2 teaspoons garlic powder
3 tablespoons melted butter
1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese 
Parsley for garnish

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F.

Sauté ham until lightly browned, add shallot until it becomes soft and fragrant.

In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, dijon mustard, granulated garlic, salt, and pepper until well combined.

Add melted butter, salt, and pepper to cubed bread and mix to combine.

Layer the sourdough, ham and shallot mixture, and cheese.

Pour the egg mixture evenly over the bread, meat, and cheese. Top with remaining cheese.

Cover and bake for about 35–40 minutes, or until the center is set and the top is golden. 

Remove from oven, add parmesan cheese and broil for a few minutes to create a golden brown crust.

Let rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Garnish with fresh parsley and enjoy!

Friday breakfast made easy: raspberry chia toast 🍯🍞
 
Ingredients:
2 cups of raspberries
2 tablespoons chia seeds
1 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
2 tablespoons local honey
1/2 cup cottage cheese (blended) 
@stonehousebread sourdough
 
Directions:
On medium-high heat add raspberries, chia, lemon juice, and 1 tablespoon of honey into a sauce pot. Mash the fruit to your desired consistency. Remove from the heat and let cool for a few minutes.
 
Toast Stonehouse sourdough, add cottage cheese, top with the raspberry chia jam, and the last tablespoon of honey.

Your March Madness game day snack just got an upgrade! 🏀🔥

These buffalo chicken hummus cups are made with @hummusgoodness Spicy Stuff, and they are the perfect example of how hummus is made for so much more than dipping! I love to incorporate hummus into recipes to add creamy texture and bold flavor.

Hummus Goodness is female founded, mom-made, and inspired by authentic Lebanese hummus. It’s my go-to hummus brand because it’s made with olive oil, no seeds oils or  citric acid, and simple real ingredients. They also have a variety of flavors to choose from!
 
Ingredients:

1 pack of large tortillas

1 lb boneless skinless chicken breast

1 container of Hummus Goodness Spicy Stuff

¼ - ½ cup buffalo sauce (to taste)

¼ - ½ cup ranch (to taste) 

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

For garnish: sliced green onion

Directions:

Preheat the oven to 350°F 

Season, cook, and shred the chicken breast using your preferred seasoning and cooking method

Warm tortillas in the microwave for about 20 seconds

Cut them into circles using a jar lid or a cookie cutter

Press the tortilla rounds into a cupcake pan

Bake for about 10 minutes

In a large bowl add the shredded cooked chicken breast, hummus, buffalo sauce, and ranch

Mix until thoroughly combined

Using a small cookie scoop, add the chicken into the tortilla cups, and top with cheese

Bake for an additional 10-12 minutes until warmed through and the cheese is melted

Add a drizzle of buffalo sauce, ranch, and top with sliced green onions

March calls for meals with fresh flavors!🌷

This week I made pork bánh mì—juicy pork, homemade pickled veggies, fresh herbs, piled into a perfectly toasted Vietnamese baguette. Big flavor, simple prep, and perfect for a busy weeknight! Pork is an easy way to add high-quality protein to the weekly rotation. It keeps us fueled and satisfied! 

Pork Banh Mi Ingredients

Pork
1 1/2 – 2 lb. pork roast

Marinade
5-6 cloves of garlic
1 shallot
3 tablespoons fish sauce
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 tablespoons brown sugar
2 tablespoons avocado oil
1 teaspoon sesame oil
2 teaspoons fresh ginger
1 tablespoon lemongrass
Avocado oil for cooking the meat

Sandwich Ingredients
Vietnamese baguette
Pickled carrot and daikon (I made my own using @recipe_tin ‘s recipe)
Fresh cilantro 
1-2 cucumbers, cut into thin strips
Sliced fresh jalapeños 
Mayo or sriracha mayo

1. Make the Marinade
Add garlic, shallot, fish sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, avocado oil, sesame oil, fresh ginger, and lemongrass. Blend until the mixture becomes smooth.

2. Marinate the Pork
Slice the pork into strips. Place the pork in a bowl and pour the blended marinade over it. Toss to fully coat the meat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour. (24 hours for best flavor)

3. Cook the Pork
Heat 1–2 tablespoons of avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the marinated pork and cook until browned and cooked through.

4. Broil for Caramelization
Transfer the cooked pork onto a sheet tray.
Place it under the broiler for about 3–5 minutes until the marinade begins to caramelize and the pork gets slightly crispy. (Keep a close eye on it to prevent burning.)

5. Assemble the Bánh Mì
Slice and lightly toast the Vietnamese baguette.
Spread mayo or sriracha mayo inside the bread, then layer with:
Caramelized pork
Pickled carrot and daikon
Thin cucumber strips
Sliced jalapeños
Fresh cilantro

Panzanella perfection 🍅🥒🌿

Crisp cucumbers, juicy tomatoes, thinly sliced red onions, creamy fresh mozzarella, and fragrant basil tossed with golden cubes of @stonehousebread soaking up every drop of homemade vinaigrette! 
 
Salad ingredients:
2 cups tomatoes, halved 
1/2 red onion (or shallot) thinly sliced
1 log fresh mozzarella, cubed
4-5 Persian cucumbers
1/4 cup fresh basil, torn
@stonehousebread of choice 
Salt to taste
 
Dressing:
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/2 lemon, freshly squeezed
1-2 cloves grated garlic
1 Tablespoon dijon mustard
Salt, pepper, + oregano to taste 

Directions:
Add olive oil, salt, + pepper to 4-5 pieces of @stonehousebread and bake on 350°F until crisp. (About 10-15 minutes) 

Add cucumber, red onion, tomatoes, fresh mozzarella, basil, salt, oregano, and @stonehousebread into a large bowl.

Add dressing + mix to combine.

Inspired by @brennansnola this Bananas Foster is a love letter to New Orleans flavor! Buttery caramelized bananas flambéed to perfection and topped with @haagendazs_us vanilla ice cream.
 
I used Brennan’s Recipe from their site but added vanilla bean paste, more cinnamon, and adjusted some of the other ingredient amounts.
 
Ingredients
4 Tablespoons butter
1/4 cup dark brown sugar
1 Tablespoon @nielsenmassey vanilla bean paste
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 ½ ounces banana liqueur @dekuypercocktails 
1 ½ ounces aged rum
2 bananas 

Combine butter, brown sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla bean paste in a pan.

As the butter melts under medium heat, add the banana liquor and stir to combine.

As the sauce starts to cook, peel and add the bananas to the pan.

Cook the bananas until they begin to soften (about 1-2 minutes) Glaze each banana with the sauce. 

Add the rum and use a long lighter to ignite. (Make sure to stir the sauce to ensure that all of the alcohol cooks out.)

Top cooked bananas with the sauce from the pan, vanilla ice cream of choice, and a dash of cinnamon. Enjoy! 🍌🍦🥃

You can’t celebrate Mardi Gras without a drink from Pat O’Brien’s in the French Quarter. If you’re not in NOLA, you can recreate this drink at home! 💜💛💚

Hurricane ingredients:
2 oz Light rum
2 oz Dark rum
2 oz Passion fruit juice
1 oz Fresh orange juice
1 oz Fresh lime juice 
1 tbsp Simple syrup
1 tbsp grenadine 
Garnish: Slices of orange, lemon, and lime + maraschino cherries

Instructions:
1. Add all ingredients into a cocktail shaker and add ice. 
2. Shake well until thoroughly chilled.
3. Strain into a hurricane glass. (Add ice into hurricane glass first if you prefer.)
4. Garnish with citrus slices + cherries.
5. Enjoy! 🎭
